20.01.2022 Today I took a trip to Bendigo and swinging 60s London for the Mary Quant Fashion Revolutionary exhibition. I'm reasonably familiar with Quant's clothing but what I didn't realise was that her empire included massive licensing deals, make-up, footwear, underwear, bathers and.... toys! There are a few videos to watch in the exhibition which give great insight into Mary's genius and the ways she revolutionised fashion. Because fashion changed so much the make-up needed chan...ging as well. She designed a clever comic strip type instruction sheet for how to use all her make-up to compliment the fashion. That was a real surprise package for me! 05.01.2022 This morning hubby and I took a tour of @nobodydenim laundry and learned about the process of making jeans. From raw materials to stonewash & dremmel cutting, dyeing..... They make around 100,000 pairs of jeans and can scale up to 160,000 when needed. That's huge! All right here in Fitzroy. Of you ever get a chance to do the tour i highly recommend it.
