22.01.2022 Happy International Womens Day! Weve spent the past couple of days surrounded by wonderful women... On Friday we attended a superb IWD event with a focus on sustainability hosted by the Digital Womens Network at the iconic Florentino restaurant where we met a number of lovely people.... Over the past two days weve also run two special @vamff ethical fashion tours with a focus on women designers and sustainability and met more lovely women. Thank you to all the designers who were a part of making these two days memorable and enjoyable! And to our guests who were from Singapore, Russia, Belgium, Russia, Malaysia, the Ukraine, Hong Kong and Sweden as well as Australia! Part of why @fashion_by_foot exists is to discourage the consumption of fast fashion which serves to make the lives of the (mostly) women who make our clothes akin to being enslaved. Its one thing to raise a glass to celebrate IWD here in Australia but remember that many women across the world still struggle in very difficult circumstances.
