When I visited today, they were mid calf to knee height. Damn thinks I. Should have brought the mower. Oh well, I am here now so just make sure I stamp the ground hard as I am walking And forget that I was told about the resident brown snake when I set up the hives.... Stamp stamp...stamp stamp And try to forget about the moving grass a few month ago Stamp stamp...stamp stamp Just remember they are more scared of you than you them Stamp stamp...stamp.. Jesus Fucking Christ!!!!! 10 feet in front of me the grass comes to life and something large separates the weeds like Moses and the Red Sea. I do my best Fay Ray impersonation, turn about and bolt for rhe gate. Don’t stay in the boat, stay in the car. And next time bring the mower.

09.01.2022 And that, my friends, is one of the reasons we have hives at HQ. Pollination of the blackberries...and perhaps a taste of blackberry in the honey. The cold and wet has put the girls back a bit - can’t forage and eating the honey already produced - but we should still be on track to harvest by the end of the month. So sorry we have not had honey available for a few months...but we are a primary industry. Please send us a message or comment below if you would like to be notified when we have honey available. To our loyal cafe, restaurant and other bulk honey clients...I will be in touch asap.

03.01.2022 Some of you know this already, but I thought it was time to put it out there for all to see. Honey production is a seasonal thing - my bees use nectar from flowers, so when flowers are (largely) not blooming they don’t collect nectar. When it is cold and/or rainy, they stay in the hive. So over winter, they don’t produce much if any honey - I leave them alone until spring. So when I am out of honey to sell (like now) all I can do is thank you for your support and promise that... as soon as the girls let me know there is honey to share I will do so.
