25.01.2022 Thank you everyone for all your likes and shares. The Families Alive School will be running for the first time in April 2017 here in Perth, Australia. We would love your continued help to get the word out so that we can see many people come, receive training and go into the nations to engage and disciple families.

23.01.2022 Week 2 Topic - "Biblical Roles of God, Man, and Family" During this week of lectures students on the Families Alive School will be discovering more about the roles God desires us to fill as husbands, wives, children, and a family as whole. Often we compare roles and put more value on one role over another. God sees everyone in the family as equally valuable and amazing but our function within the family can be different within that.... When each member of the family understands there roles and responsibilities and are secure and active in them you will find a family that is ALIVE! 23.01.2022 T-75 days until the Families Alive School here in Perth, Australia starts. We have had lots of people asking if you need to be married or have children to do the school and wanted to shed some light on that question. The answer is no, you do not need to be married or have children for the school to be of benefit to you.... The aim of the school is to train and equip workers to work with families and people within families but you don't need to be a parent or married in order to do that. There are many families in need of love and Biblical input and if you understand from a Biblical perspective what family should look like and how it should function you can have a part in being a positive influence for Jesus in that families life, no matter how old you are or how many children you may or may not have. I'll even go farther to say that even if your ministry isn't focused on working with families, this school would still be a benefit to you as no matter what your focus is you are going to be working with people who are part of families themselves and may need input in that area. Please like, share and help get the word out so that we can see many people trained and equipped to help better serve and disciple the families of the nations of the earth!

21.01.2022 Families Alive School is running in Perth, Australia in April 2017. Maybe you feel God is leading you to focus on ministering to families. 20.01.2022 Week 8 Topic - "Parenting and Family Origins" Have you ever thought about what it means to be a parent? What are God's expectations of parents in regards to the discipleship and training of their children? During this week students will look at some of the influences on how people parent and the importance of training children to be relational (love others) as well as independent and able to stand up for truth(Love God).... We will also look at things like characteristics of a dysfunctional family, boundaries and consequences, the importance of training to obey and a variety of other topics that will equip students to be able to give sound and Biblical input to parents.

18.01.2022 Families Alive School, YWAM Perth, April 2017 Week 3 Topic - "Relationships, Marriage and Conflict Resolution" Relationships are a core part of our lives. They are something we cannot escape and have been created for. There are many different types of relationships that we can be a part of at different points in our lives, friendships, marriage, healthy, unhealthy, with God, parent/child, etc.... In all of these types of relationships, at some point in time, conflict will happen and will need to be worked through in order for the relationship to continue to do well. We will spend time looking at the importance of relationships in general, the marriage relationship specifically and how to keep it healthy as well as how to deal with conflicts in a way that loves and honors God and others in any kind of relationship.

14.01.2022 Week 5 Topic - "Lordship in Family" What would it look like for a family to live in a way that is wholly surrendered to Christ? Parents make many, many decisions on a daily basis, some big and some small. How do they invite God into those decisions and allow Him to lead them as they lead their families?... This week of lectures will be focused on looking at how parents and children can give God room to lead them individually and as a family in the decisions that they make. 14.01.2022 Week 12 Topic - "Engaging Families" This week's lectures are all about principles and skills that will help us reach families in our communities. If we really want to be effective in loving and showing Jesus to families around us we need to have an understanding of the needs that those families have.... We will look at stories of effective family reaching ministries as well as Biblical community development principles that will help us create effective strategies that will impact the whole person/family, not just part of it.

14.01.2022 Week 1 Topic - "Biblical View of Family as an Expression of the Nature and Character of God" During the first week of lecture phase we will be looking at how the healthy family unit is shaped by and should reflect the nature and character of God. The question of who God is has a tremendous impact on every member of a family and how they will relate to one another.... The cornerstone and foundation of family is GOD Stay tuned as we go through each topic we will look at during lecture phase and give a brief summary of what we will be learning about. 13.01.2022 Week 4 Topic - "Sexuality" This weeks lectures will be tackling a topic that is a hot button issue in our society today. We are all sexual beings as created by God but what are the loving and healthy boundaries that He has put in place for us within that context?... What does it mean to have a healthy sexual identity? What are some of the common pitfalls for both men and women in the context of marriage in this area and what can we do to help guard against them? These are all questions that we will explore and find answers to within scripture as we learn together during this week of lectures. 13.01.2022 Week 6 Topic - "Child Development and the Role of Parents in Education" We have all kinds of expectations on children. These expectations are formed by a variety of different things but one major factor is the developmental capability of that child. Students will spend time discovering the basics of a child's cognitive, motor and spiritual development from baby to adult.... We will also spend time looking at how God views the education of children and what role parents have in that process. It will be a great week of learning and revelation. 12.01.2022 The Families Alive School will be going to Manila, Philippines for outreach. in 2017! We are excited for the opportunity to partner with the local church and see families engaged, strengthened and empowered to live in abundance of life.

10.01.2022 Week 7 Topic - "Father and Mother Heart of God" Our earthly Father and Mother have a tremendous role to play in our development and growth as people here on earth. Part of their role is to help us navigate and understand our identity. In Luke 3:22 God spoke out of heaven publicly identifying with and affirming His Son, Jesus.... If we do not get this positive affirmation and identification of our Father and Mother it can have an extremely negative impact on how we see ourselves. In this week of lectures we will see what God has to say on this topic and learn how he wants to minister to the pain and distorted identity in people's hearts by bringing, healing, love and affirmation.

09.01.2022 Week 11 Topic - "The Sphere of Family" During this week we will be given a basic overview of the seven spheres which are business, government, media, arts and entertainment, education, the family and religion. We will also go into greater detail on the sphere of family and God's intent in how this sphere impacts society as a whole. We will also look at what our role as the church is in influencing this sphere and what our boundaries are.

08.01.2022 The Families Alive School is having a fundraiser on the 4th of June to help us raise finances to go to Nepal for outreach. We'll be baking some yummy treats and whipping up some delicious hot drinks!

07.01.2022 Come join us for the Families Alive School this April here in Perth, Australia. Over the course of 24 weeks, students will gain greater understanding of Gods heart, desire and intent for families. They will also acquire practical skills that will help them engage and disciple families in relevant and meaningful ways. This school would be beneficial to people called to many different areas of ministry, not just specifically ministry focused on families. The reason for this ...is that no matter what area of ministry that God has called you to, you will be working with and discipling people who are part of a family themselves. Having a solid biblical understanding of family will help us greatly as we walk with people dealing with brokenness in their own family units. 05.01.2022 Week 9 Topic - "Living in Spiritual Authority as a Family" As Christian's we have been given spiritual authority but how does that flesh out within the family. How do we pray effectively for our family, spouses, children? How do we practically live out the spiritual authority given to us on a day to day basis.... We will look in depth at this during week 9 of the Families Alive School this coming April.

02.01.2022 Week 10 Topic - "Communication" During this week of the school students will explore communication in several different ways. We will look at God as a communicator and how He communicates as well as the power that is in the spoken word. We will look at healthy communication and unhealthy communication within the family as well as the importance of listening as part of communication.... To wrap it all up we will also be looking at some keys to effective public communication that will help us as we teach and train others. See more
