03.01.2022 Gelato Messina Opens Surry Hills Store Written By Fat Pigeon After an amazing ten years, providing our beloved customers with their daily dose of Gelato, Messina opens a brand new parlour on Crown Street in Surry Hills, and we’re super excited.... Our latest boutique ice-creamery adds to the Messina clique, with our creative department and gelateria in Darlinghurst, and our store at The Star. The brand new gelato co-op on Crown Street exhibits all the hallmarks of a Messina establishment, complete with homage to the surrounding area by artist extraordinaire, Jeremyville. Having moved into one of the areas cherished locations, the old Zeno’s Pizzeria,we’re hoping to fill the void of one institution’s conclusion by giving a loving congregation another reason to visit Surry Hills’ sprightly corridor. We’re even opening with a brand new flavour called ‘Ode To Zeno’s', which comprises light rosewater milk gelato with lemon and rosewater soaked brioche, pistachio crumbs and cream.Yum! Of course all our signature scoops will be poised in punits, from our calypso inspired ‘Bounty’ to the ever-popular post dinner specialist, ‘Tiramisu’. We’re also looking forward to our new customers hitting us up with recipe blue prints of their own, as they’re the people we value the most, and are as big a part of Messina as we are. Lets hope we’re dishing out dollops for as long as Zeno’s were slingin’ slices!
