25.01.2022 Was pretty shit. 1st emotion I felt was anger. I found out through a dads of cancer kids support group that I helped kick off that this was a normal reaction to a horrible situation. I love all you blokes.

24.01.2022 Happy Easter to all our families.

22.01.2022 Rare doesn’t mean invisible. All children need treatments and a chance at a long healthy life. We see you.

21.01.2022 We see you Dads

20.01.2022 Thanks to our supporters, Father Bears delivered bikes to Evie and Bailey at Perth Children’s Hospital today. Both of these families are far from their homes in regional WA for extended periods of time to facilitate treatment, and it’s a pleasure to be able to provide these kids with a bike to keep them active and entertained whilst they are so far from the comforts of home.

20.01.2022 We see you Dads

20.01.2022 One of our founding fathers has received some shocking news this week. If any of you guys in Perth can get to Justin and his family to help in any way. Pls do. Go hard Angus.

20.01.2022 It’s okay to not be okay. Whenever you feel things are tough the Bears are here for you. #ruok

19.01.2022 There are childhood cancer dad support groups that attract a surprising amount of curiosity from people who are not cancer dads. So I asked the dads for stories, here’s a few sobering insights.

19.01.2022 It’s a challenging time of year. The Bears have your back!

17.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all our families.

16.01.2022 A significant number of parents of children who have had cancer or a similar chronic illness suffer PTSD. (Studies vary with exact figures, with some saying up to 85% are affected). PTSD or even the symptoms can appear from nowhere and affect daily life. There is no shame to associate the experiences of parents assisting their children through trauma being affected! If you suffer from any of these conditions, please know you are not alone, and if it affecting your life please seek professional help.

11.01.2022 Thank you for the nomination and to the Children’s Leukemia & Cancer Research Foundation!

01.01.2022 Today is International Childhood Cancer Day. We are so lucky to be in a country where treatment options are available and clinical care is free. How much is a ...child’s life worth? Around the world children continue to suffer from a lack of new or affordable treatments. Even today, there are childhood cancers that have a 0% survival rate. Share awareness
