Being a Military veteran, I love that the author is donating $50 of every sale to Wounded Heroes, helping homeless veterans and their families. 09.01.2022 Sunday’s are particularly heartbreaking for Robert Clarke whose precious children, Benjamin (Benny) Clarke (5) and Lucia (20 months) were abducted and are being... illegally retained by their mother and her family in Ipiales at the home of their maternal grandmother - a convicted criminal. Grave fears are held for the Australian born children. In Ipiales on the border of Colombia and Ecuador corruption, violence and criminal activity are rife with travel warnings issued by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Robert and his family have done everything in their power in accordance with The Hague Convention to bring his children home. And in spite of the Colombian judge ruling (on 20 December 2019) that the Clarke Children had been illegally retained in Colombia, he failed to rule that they be immediately returned to Australia. This ruling by Colombian Judge Hernan Rodriguez Reina is in breach of The Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. He spoke to me of the absolute love he had for his two children and was heartbroken after family separation. . My prayers and heart is with Carl’s children and his family.
