23.01.2022 Meet Juzz! Our really smart (total boss!) digital marketing manager. She started working with Fat Poppy right before Covid hit (thrown in at the deep end would be an understatement to explain her induction). But in the midst of chaos, Juzz quickly (like 24 hours quickly) redirected our strategy and worked tirelessly to save our small business. It feels like she’s been in our team forever because we already couldn’t imagine life without her. She’s also a very busy Mum and studies on the side. Yup, you could say she’s an overachiever!

08.01.2022 Which blend are you? Just like with wine, not every drop is for you. Some prefer red. Some white. Some pink. And some love to change drops with the weather. Our blends are very different flavours and they’ve been designed that way intentionally. Our aim was to develop a range of blends that suits a range of palates. We’re not done yet, we’ve got another blend in the making.

It’s a simple scoop of coffee or a technical recipe. It’s adaptable and understands how to go with the flow. It’s kinda like your middle child - sometimes forgotten about but easy to love!

03.01.2022 For many of us, it's hard to imagine a life separated from our children. But sadly, this is the reality for many families across Australia. Every May for Mother's Day, we release a special coffee blend, Mayde for Mums, to raise money for Mums in need. This year, we chose to support the Beyond Barbed Wire Program because it supports some of Australia's most vulnerable Mums. The program is run by Barnardos Australia and its aim is to support Mums upon their release from... prison, so they can be restored with their children. It's a grassroots program and super effective. In Australia almost 50% of Mums who leave prison, re-enter the system. Whereas, for Mums who enter this program, that number drops to less than 5%. We've been supporting the Beyond Barbed Wire program for 2 years, by donating coffee regularly to the program's coffee cart, Three Wise Women. The coffee cart supports a number of Mums to re-enter the workforce by providing barista, food handling, and work ready training. Because of your generosity in May, we were able to purchase a new coffee grinder and generator for the Three Wise Women Coffee Cart. Thank you. We would also like to thank Warren Mendes for creating the delicious cookie jars in our Mayde for Mums gift packs. Warren donated all of his profits to the program. See more
