25.01.2022 Hey everyone, el presidente and I headed up to Narby and we've cleared all the trees off the track, there was a lot like the one in the photo. We also made the track to the start accesible. So go ahead and ride as much as you like. Please be aware we haven't raked the track so there is a Lot of bark, leaves and small branches everywhere, especially on the high speed section so take it easy. Also be aware we found a bunch of fourbies turning around near the triple drop, so be ...careful when you come through there. The shuttle road is passable but is narrow in places from fallen trees so take care shuttling too. What are you still doing reading this? Go and get your bike and ride! Have fun John
21.01.2022 We've had reports of a large number of trees and branches across the track at Narbethong, some of which are at head/eye level. Due to recent CV19 restrictions, we have been unable to get up to the track to carry out our regular maintenance, however with the ease of these restrictions we hope to get up there soon. As this will involve smaller groups than usual, we ask you to bear with us as it may take some time to return the track to its usual state. In the meantime, we recommend avoiding riding at Narbethong until we can ensure it is safe.
21.01.2022 Stay home, stay safe and check in with friends and family regularly https://www.mtbiking.com.au//mountain-biking-severely-limi
21.01.2022 Hope you all have a great Christmas and enjoy some bike time over the holidays!
21.01.2022 Thank you all who came and supported us this weekend, we can't thank our committee and volunteers enough for all the hard work they put in in the lead up to the weekend, over the weekend and even now, in cleaning and packing away of all the equipment. Shane and Michelle did a track walk this afternoon and there was only a small amount of leftover litter and bunting to be collected so thank you all for using the bins provided/ taking your rubbish home and helping us preserve this amazing track. Looking forward to a well earned rest over the summer before we start back again.
20.01.2022 As of midday today, the track at Narbethong is clear of trees, however, we have not had time/manpower today to rake leaves or carry out any other track maintenance. We have not been to Granton today so cannot comment on the current state of that track. As CV19 restrictions are starting to ease, we're sure people will start to ride further afield more frequently. We request that people use common sense and take care throughout this easing period. *As always, please take a gen...tle roll down the hill on your first few runs to check out conditions and to see if there are any trees/branches down etc. *The current recommendations are not to have more than 1 person in your car that does not live with you therefore shuttles are not advisable and to be able to restart the mtb season, we need to support these restrictions and maintain social distancing. Changes to this restriction has not been mentioned today by the Victorian government so please continue to abide by this until we know more. *Finally, please, please, please be sensible and don't take undue risks as we do not want to have people riding hard and having accidents which then puts SES and Amb Vic at risk as they cannot maintain social distancing in the middle of a rescue. Having said all that, take care and stay safe FTFDH committee
20.01.2022 Great to see some positive news during a challenging time and to see DH racing in the local spotlight. Great work Jess!

Congratulations to those who have taken out the overall’s. I know it’s not the way you wanted to win. We will put the results out soon so be patient as there is a lot going on. A big thank you to all our committee members over the state that put in a lot of work getting this series up and running. Your work does not go unnoticed. 17.01.2022 Very important information about the state champs race at Baw Baw this weekend please read and share. In light of the recent Melbourne outbreak each attendee is... asked to do a symptom self-assessment prior to leaving home and not attend if they are unwell or have been instructed to isolate or quarantine by government advice. All attendees will be required to carry and wear masks in public spaces such as the Village Restaurant, Guest Services, warm eating area and in shuttle vehicles. All attendees are asked to maintain 1.5m physical distancing around the Resort or wear a mask when this is not possible. When riders are queuing and waiting for shuttles for example. Also please see the below cleaning points for shuttle. The most important being: cleaning of high touch door handle etc surfaces between each load of riders and driver changes all riders to wear masks in vehicles VicPol from Rawson will likely pop up through the day to check in their on the event and our Covid practices.
17.01.2022 JUST A REMINDER- Hi everyone - well the ring of steel comes down tonight - which is great and we know you will all be hanging to go riding! But just a couple of housekeeping rules in regards to Narby unfortunately due to the lockdown radius no one has been over to check the track so please if you are going to ride there take it VERY EASY! We hope to get over there very soon and will let you all know about any working bees etc!... And remember social distancing etc and above all stay safe and hope to see you all soon! Thanks
15.01.2022 Good to see this is still moving ahead, get all the details and find out how you can share your feedback at https://www.rideyarraranges.com.au/community-feedback-to-i/

13.01.2022 So pleased that people can get out on the tracks a bit more now with the easing of restrictions but as Red Hill Riders have stated, the clubs also haven't been able to get out to complete track maintenance over the last few months. Don't forget that Narbethong and Granton are both in Murrindindi Shire and therefore in regional Victoria so are still out of bounds to the majority of people, no matter how close they live. Stay safe, continue to socially distance from each other, wear your masks when not riding and hopefully we can get out there soon
12.01.2022 Some of the #FTFDH crew went to #Narbethong today to check out the report of a tree down on the shuttle road. Turns out it was two monsters. We've opened the shuttle road up so the track can be used. We didn't clear it completely as it was very hard work and the wind was getting a bit dicey. Head up to Narby and enjoy the track. As of 5pm on the 5th of December the shuttle road is passable, but narrow in places, You can get a LandCruiser through with no issues, bjust be aware... its the Australian bush and it has been wet and windy. We'll talk to DELWP and see if we can get it cleared properly soon. Otherwise we'll be back soon to open it up fully. The track was NOT checked today. By the time we finished with the big trees we had some cold and wet children to get home so just take it easy and please let us know if there is anything on track that needs removing. #fattyreflyers #mtba #VDHS #FTF #FTFDH #downhill #downhillmtb #officialvdhs #yarrevalleycycles #yvc #victoriandownhillseries
12.01.2022 Narby - Just giving you all the heads up, we had a message re a large tree down half way up on the fire road, unfortunately we haven’t had a chance to get up to have a look as yet! Thanks Shane
11.01.2022 We’ve heard that someone has been fined over $1600 for unnecessary travel while driving along Peninsula Link on their way down here for a ride. Stay safe out there people and please stay home.
10.01.2022 In light of the new Covid19 restrictions that take effect from 11.59pm tomorrow (Wednesday) night, we would like to remind people that the tracks at both Narbethong and Granton are within Murrindindi Shire. If you live in the Metropolitan Melbourne or Mitchell Shire areas that are returning to stage 3 lockdowns, we strongly encourage you not to attempt to visit either track to ride your bike. As our committee all reside within these restricted areas, we will not be able to visit the tracks either for riding or track checks and maintenance. If we all work together and abide by these rules, we should be able to return to the things we love quicker. Stay safe and look out for each other. FTFDH committee

08.01.2022 Hi all, have just heard from Mt Buller about our round 3 which was to be held on the 18/19 of January 2020 at this time we are going to have to postpone this ev...ent, due to fires in this area. As I am still away but flying back to Melbourne tomorrow I will be talking to Ben Annear as soon as my feet hit the ground, please give us time to sort this out as it is a discussion that is NOT taken lightly as the safety of riders, spectators and staff come before anything so please NO disrespectful comments, wishing all emergency services the best. With thanks Shane Currie President VDHS
08.01.2022 Currently snowing here on the mountain Mt Buller. To those traveling this way tonight please proceed with caution especially those in 2WD vehicles. We will provide further updates as we can. .......at least there’s no bushfires Stay safe Team BB
06.01.2022 As we head into the busiest, craziest 2 weeks of the year, we would just like to share with you our Christmas hours. It has been a crazy year, we are all tired ...and we want to be at home with our families. As a result, we won’t be doing extended hours this year, instead, we are doing the opposite. Thank you for your understanding! See more
