23.01.2022 Black cake. Love hate relationship. Its bittersweet. Here are some warnings for those who wants to order a black cake 1. It is a black buttercream cake meaning I use buttercream coloured in black food colouring. Do I use a lot of colouring? Yes, I have to, otherwise it wont be black... 2. It will stain your teeth and tongue, your hands or whatever it comes in contact with. Rinse your mouth, wash your hands with soap, or simply dont eat the black buttercream. I only cover ...the cake with one layer of black buttercream being the last outer layer. Any dark coloured icing will do the same. If you dont want any staining, choose pastel coloured icing! 3. There is no substitute that I know of that can magically turns edible things black. Maybe dark chocolate ganache (still have to be coloured with black colouring btw), maybe a black fondant, but unfortunately I dont offer both. 4. So, if you still want a black cake, please know what youre getting into. 5. Remember you dont have to eat the last layer of black buttercream. Use your cutlery to separate it from the cake. 6. Lastly, I cannot stress this enough... if you dont know what youre getting into, please DO NOT order a black cake. Sincerely, Yours truly
