25.01.2022 Absolutely appalling video of this rodeo clown thinking he knows what he is doing. Props to the home owners who sought assistance to remove the snake instead of resorting to other means however unfortunately the guy they got out to assist is an incompetent handler with torturers techniques. Such a shame on the media Sewell taking heed with this story :( Here are a couple of links to follow. The same guy using very unnecessary means to handle a harmless and helpless legless li...zard: https://m.youtube.com/watch?sns=fb&v=VoH784V0Ux0 And a petition to the department voicing our concern over his ability to effectively perform safe handling of reptiles : https://www.change.org/p/adrian-coleman-matt-swan-head-offi

25.01.2022 Part 2. Unfortunately as soon as I left for work Ash saw magpies come down to swoop the Tawny's. The mumma tried to discourage the magpies but ended up flying up into a tree. The baby Tawny was still too wet to fly up and ended up on the road so Ash put the little fluff ball into an aviary to dry out and stay safe from the magpies. Then a little later in the day Ash saw the mum had come down to be close to the baby. It was still too light in the day for the baby and mum to fly up into a tree and find shelter so we waited until it started getting dark before letting the baby go. Both of the parents were nearby in a tree the whole day and they were calling out to each other. The baby flew straight up into the tree to its parents. It was amazing

24.01.2022 Cool article on the research I volunteered to help out with on Rottnest Island.

21.01.2022 Absolutely fantastic effort by Darren in the clearing of these fauna from a development site.

19.01.2022 Absolutely incredible work. I was called out to collect this tiger snake but couldn't make it. Luckily the relocator that attended was a caring and compassionate person who sought care for this beautiful snake. Thank you Tanya.

17.01.2022 Excellent work Simon Cherriman <3 Please support if you can.

15.01.2022 Great work Mike Lohr.. hard work pays off when you get solid results like this. Keep it up and keep spreading the word

11.01.2022 Check out this incredible Reticulated Python a friend on mine, Kirsten, came across in Penang, Malaysia. The poor thing had a meal and got stuck. As all my friends are awesome humans it was impossible to walk away from this so my friend messaged me to find out if it would be safe and wise to attempt to encouraged this snake to free itself. Unfortunately it was well and truly stuck so they cut some of the metal away and managed to get the python free. I am blown away at the beautiful colour of this snake. A very lucky find for both parties.

05.01.2022 This is a bit of a worry. The Turtles at this park are the biggest I have ever seen!

03.01.2022 Part 1. Had a little surprise this morning when I went down to feed the goats. This mumma and her baby were trying to 'hide' on my fence post after they got a bit dampened in the rain over night and couldn't fly up to roost.

02.01.2022 I just got word that the review of rodenticide use, non-target impacts and regulation in Australia has officially been published! It's free to download for the... next 50 days so have a look at it while you can. Hopefully, it draws attention to this issue and helps get the ball rolling on measures to reduce unintentional poisonings of native wildlife and potentially humans. Feel free to pass it along to anyone you think will be interested. See more
