19.01.2022 ~~ * SLAVES... I MEAN, GUESTS * ~~ It was September... mom had been busy working for the past months, but then all of a sudden there were MORE HUMANS! Mom had brought two people home - I could tell by their looks that they really wanted to touch me. But I was the queen, and I would show them who's in control here! I walked by mom's room, pretending to be uninterested, and slowly got closer, testing their reactions - if they were overeager like some other guests have been, I ...would get away immediately! ...They didn't though. They kept their hands to themselves, and they were kind to me. They spoke in hushed voices, and mom seemed to like them... They slept at my home that night, and I made up my mind: if mom and her family trusted them, then I would trust mom, and trust them, too! The next day, I went to their room when they were inside - I'd already scouted out the terrain, sniffed everything they bought, and tested their beds. I sat down on the bed of the one that smelled a bit like mom, and put on my most irresistibly adorable face. Of course, it worked! I had gained myself two new cuddle-slaves! They stayed for about two weeks. Mom was often out late with them, but she'd always come home, and all three of them would give me lots of pats. There was one morning when I was half-awake, and accidentally mistook one of them for mom and asked her for breakfast... let's not talk anymore about that. The other one had a nice circle thing, and I could see myself in it - turned out it was a camera! She took lots of glamour shots of me. After they left, I got thinking... maybe humans aren't so bad after all. I mean, I'd grown to trust mom and the family, but maybe friends of the family are okay humans too. Maybe, just maybe... there are more good humans out there who are gentle to cats. I'll try harder to trust them from now on!
13.01.2022 When the guests were over, mom would often stay and chat in their room until late... I would doze in our bed, but then I'd get lonely, and so I'd go and knock on the door! They've had mom all day, it's time for me to have her back! Photo credit: Em Mah

06.01.2022 ~~ * UP TO MISCHIEF * ~~ HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Sorry about the lack of updates, but the celebrations are over, the loud guests are gone, and I have mom back... all is well. Flash back to the last entry... after two weeks, mom's two friends have left. I've learnt that maybe not all humans are bad, after all - this family loves me, and their friends also like me. I was feeling more and more comfortable, and I thought... maybe I could afford to be more playful and mischievou...s, and the family would love me just the same. So I got up to mischief - nothing too bad, of course, just some dirty days, digging around more places in the house, and more shameless snuggles up to mom. I mean, I'm so cute, she's GOT to let me off easy even if I disturbed her sleep!
04.01.2022 Mom's dad took this video when Totti (the alpha of this territory) came close to our yard - just over the fence. We were hanging out, but then he got angry at my human! He ran off after this. I had to find him and explain that my humans were FINE!
