19.01.2022 Hi everyone, we are enjoying our time with our foster mum & especially now that we’ve found out where she sleeps! We snuggle up with her every night on a pillow & watch over her while she sleeps! We are also enjoying playing with our foster mummy’s older cats, especially Zander who is only 10 mths old, but most of all we just enjoy playing together. We are still looking for our new furever home if you would like to to be our new mummy & daddy please contact FCCR. It’s our bed time now, so nite nite Dusk & Dawn

19.01.2022 There are amazing sunrises and sunsets here in the Fraser Coast, but nothing can be more beautiful than me. Curious as to why well my name is Dawn and I believe I am just as stunning as those sunrises and sunsets. Well just recently my brother Dusk was adopted and I have been left all alone. Well I am not really alone my foster mum has some big cats that I can play with but I do miss my brother terribly and would like to be just as lucky as him and find my furever home. No...w let me tell you about me I have trained my foster mum well as a soon as I give her a tiny meow low and behold I get a pat and if I continue to meow I get lots of pats. I love to snuggle with my foster mum and what really gets my motor running is when she picks me up for lots of cuddles. I have lots of favourite toys that I love to play with and especially enjoy the ones that make lost of noise. My foster mums big cats even let me play hide and seek in their tunnel and my foster brother Ninja gets a little angry with me when I think his tail is fun to bite and play with don’t stick in my face I say your only asking for trouble. Oh by the way I am going to the vets tomorrow to have an operation desexing I think she called it. My foster mum says it will only hurt a little bit so I am going to be big and brave. So have I got you intrigued would you like to meet me as I would really love to meet you so I can share your home and love you as much as I know you would love me. Just let my foster mum know so she can arrange a meeting and I can be as lucky as my brother. Love Dawn

18.01.2022 We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. Thank you to all of our amazing vets that take such great care of our cats and kittens, and to our awesome foster parents that love our babies as their own. But special thanks to each and every one that supports us, we couldn't do what we do without the backing and support you consistently show us, every single day. MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND ALL. From everyone here at FCCR.

17.01.2022 Thelma and Louise are now ready to be adopted. These happy go lucky sisters can be adopted together or separately, all vet work completed.

17.01.2022 Hello FCCR followers! We would like to keep you posted on our Disney Kids who are in our care currently. One of our fabulous foster Mums, picked them up last week when they were just 5 days old, after their mummy cat ran away, who we believe was just a kitten herself (about 8 months old). There are 7 kittens & they are now 9 days old, and have just opened their eyes & are moving around as they should be for this age. They weigh from 145 205g with bottle feeding every few hours, so our poor foster mum is having naps when the kittens are We will keep you updated on their progress in the upcoming weeks with each milestone

14.01.2022 Marshmallow & her 4 babies! All doing great

13.01.2022 UPDATE TODAY! Marshmallow has had 4 babies early this morning! 2 grey & 2 black! Mumma & babies are doing well. Photos to follow Katrina Hello everyone, my name is Marshmallow! Yes, some people have got weird sense of humor when picking out names for us pets, maybe they had burnt to many marshmallows over a campfire & that’s how they come up with my name. Who calls a black cat Marshmallow I ask you!! How did I get here you may ask well talk about a cat having... nine lives I have definitely used a few of mine. It all started 2 weeks ago when thankfully I missed being run over whilst crossing Boat Harbour Drive thankfully the lady stopped to save me and took me to Wide Bay Vets. Lucky for me the friendly people at the vets called my new foster mum to see if she would be able to take care of me because my first parents had left me behind when they decided to move on from Hervey Bay. Well low and behold after my visit to the vets it was discovered that not only am I very young only 12 months old but I was soon to be a mum possibly for the second time and here I was thinking that I had just put on a little extra kilos. So, I am not ready for adoption at this time as I am currently holed up in my foster mums (in my own suite of course) awaiting the arrival of my little family which could happen any day now. Oh, and she will be looking to make me even more famous by live streaming my babies coming into world if she is lucky enough to be here. So as I wait with baited breath for my delivery date please keep a look out for our next post when we let you know how many babies I have as I can tell you I’m getting mightily uncomfortable & upset as can be expected for a girl in my condition. Love Marshmallow

10.01.2022 You’ve got sunrise and sunset. We are Dusk and Dawn & we are about 8 weeks old and we are currently with our foster mummy. Our foster mummy has told us that we will need to visit the nice people called vets in a few weeks to be desexed, vaccinated and microchipped and then we will be ready to go to our new furever homes. We are looking for our new mummy and daddy do you think this could be you? If you are looking for a handsome boy or a beautiful girl to be apart of your family, please pm us so our foster mummy can arrange a suitable time for you to come & meet us. Love Dusk & Dawn

10.01.2022 We're beyond devastated to share with you that the FCCR founder, our friend, mentor and dedicated cat lover, Suzie Townsend, passed away suddenly this morning. Our hearts are broken, and our thoughts are with her son, Connor, her parents, Chris and John, and her two beloved cats, Bugsy and Billy. Suzie was sent to earth to save lives, whether that was as her job in her early years as a nurse, or with her legacy Fraser Coast Cat Rescue. She changed lives. She changed the world... for the better. We don't know what to say. She will be so, so dearly missed. For the time being, FCCR will go into hiatus, as we take time to mourn and grieve the loss of our dear friend, and figure out the next steps for the rescue. We appreciate your patience during this difficult time. Sincerely, Keisha, Diane, Chelle & Beckie The FCCR Committee
