21.01.2022 Shapes and flowers with fine motor skills with threading the flower stems into the re-cycled shapes with holes punched. Lovely little spring activity

20.01.2022 We love our worms and all the hard work they do. We are looking at worms this month after much discussion and a child creating a house for a worm that was found in the garden. Child led investigation is just a small part of what we try to encourage with children’s learning.

19.01.2022 We had a visitor today! Roxy the orphan lamb. Our lovely friend Rehka brought her to visit at feed time so we got to watch her tail wriggle in delight when she drank . All the children took turns and we made sure we were careful. Roxy bounced around the yard and nibbles on just about everything

07.01.2022 Tasmanian Arboretum this afternoon, lovely excursion. Even though it is overcast the rain stayed away. We were lucky enough to see a platypus and two swans with six cygnets .

06.01.2022 Morning walks in bush, always something new to find. Birds are out and about being very noisy this time of the year too

05.01.2022 I had grabbed some wood from my Mums house that I thought was perfect for turning into some loose parts. I handed the wood over to my husband and an hour later I have some wood round puzzles . I reckon the kids are going to love these and it was a great use of some wood from pruning fruit trees! I love it how you can have one idea and then someone can then build on that to create. I gave them a light oil and sand and they are ready for Monday

05.01.2022 This little hen Spotty that we hatched out has been flying out of the chicken pen. This morning I found her stash! Cheeky hen! The children love how she follows them around and will eat grain out of their hands

01.01.2022 A few weeks ago we found a tiny little bush rabbit that got trapped inside our chicken pen ( it was eating the pellets). One windy night the cage must not of been latched properly and in the morning it was gone. We had been feeding it on freash kale from our vegetable garden. This morning a week later who do we find in the vegetable garden? A cheeky little bunny called lettuce who has eaten our peas and kale
