25.01.2022 JobKeeper Application Assistance and Assurances Important information if you need help lodging, or need peace of mind about the information already provided on your lodged JobKeeper Application. https://mailchi.mp//jobkeeper-application-assistance-and-a

25.01.2022 JOBKEEPER - Take a deep breath and stay tuned to our facebook page. Everyone is understandably stressed and anxious. We put out a post yesterday letting people know that the enrolment form is out, but if you are unsure as to whether you are completing correctly, to hold off lodging. We repeat this same advice. Whether you lodge today or in a few days when information comes it makes no difference and you will receive payment at exactly the same time as everyone else. It is onl...y jumping in too quickly and perhaps completing forms incorrectly which has the potential to cause delays. If you have already lodged and concerned about whether it was correct, there is still more information to provide IF there was an error this can be cleared up. If you have not yet lodged or unsure, then do not panic. There are still a number of days left (until 30th), and you will not miss out. The form at the moment is just an enrolment form, with additional reporting required in the next week or so. While we welcome enquiries from educators, we are receiving a lot of requests at the moment and replying to everyone's queries all at once is a challenge. Best bet at this point is stay tuned to this page for updates and we will look to provide regular updates. If you have specific or unique questions we can then assist you further. Stay safe and sane everyone. Such a challenge with all confusing and incomplete information, and we will do our best to help you navigate your way through.

22.01.2022 JobKeeper Update 21 April 2020 - STILL waiting for Tax Office Clarification We have been in constant contact with the ATO over the past 24 hours so that we provide educators more guidance relating to the JobKeeper enrolment form and in particular the 12 March lodgement requirement. In summary in order to enrol, among other things, it asks you to declare:...Continue reading

20.01.2022 JobKeeper - Update 23 April 2020 - Further guidance now provided from ATO Hi Everyone The ATO has now provided further guidance on their website regarding the situation where you may not have lodged by 12 March 2020 either your 2018-2019 tax return, or a BAS statement from 1 July 2019 with business income information.... If you have been waiting for this clarification before enrolling for JobKeeper you can now do so and meet this lodgement criteria where you have an extension to lodge either of these documents via your tax agent, or yourself individually due to special circumstances (Eg Bushfire relief) beyond 12 March 2020. You will be able to confirm whether you have such extensions either via your tax agent or directly with the ATO. For our clients who have not already made contact with us, and have not yet lodged their enrolment form and require clarification, please contact us directly. Email contact is preferable at this time. For those of you who have outstanding tax return lodgements for 2018 and prior, and have not yet lodged a BAS since 1 July 2019, you should look to arrange lodgement as soon as possible as your JobKeeper payment will only be paid from the fortnight you have lodged all outstanding documents. Finally, please be mindful that the lodgement of the enrolment form is not the end of the JobKeeper application process. There are still the nomination and income reporting stages to go. We are informed that the forms that will be used to report your income are due to be released on 4 May 2020. As to reporting a reduction in your income on this form, and preparing your information, please see our previous updates via the links below. 08.01.2022 JobKeeper 2.0 Update Please see link below to our latest information regarding JobKeeper 2.0 https://mailchi.mp/f1916663725f/sep28jobkeeper20

07.01.2022 JobKeeper 2.0 Hi Everyone. A new message was distributed by Family Day Care Australia (FDCA) today regarding Educators potentially being eligible for JobKeeper 2.0 and we have received a number of enquiries. We will shortly be distributing a newsletter covering the most frequently asked questions, but note some basic points below.... For those educators who were in business in July to September 2019 it is fairly easy to determine your eligibility for the first round of assistance. Basically, if your income for July to September 2020 has decreased by 30% or more when compared to same period last year, you may be eligible for the $1,200 a fortnight for the months of October, November, December. For the second round of payments of $700 a fortnight from January 2021, you will need to make another assessment and apply again for this period when your October to December 2020 income is known. If you were not in business before September 2019, you were otherwise absent (Eg holidays, sickness), or your income increased significantly subsequent to September, further ATO guidance is coming and we will be updating our facebook page and issuing a newsletter shortly / before 28 September. To keep updated you can like our page, follow this post, or subscribe to our newsletter via the link below. http://ow.ly/6Q0u50ByGs1 In the meantime please be mindful that you will likely not know what your income will be for the current quarter until the end of this month, and you are not able to apply for any additional payments until at least 28th September 2020. We will do our best to update everyone before this date and thank you for your patience. We do however recommend that you obtain a copy of your payment history for July to September 2020, and/or calculate your income for this period as soon as possible to help quickly determine your eligibility and submit your application. Stay tuned and stay safe everyone!

03.01.2022 JobKeeper Income Declaration Form Released It would appear that the ATO has released the long awaited Income Declaration which is the final step in the JobKeeper application process. It is available through MyGov to complete yourself or we will begin processing tomorrow for our educator clients.... It would seem the ATO form only requires limited income information, but you need to be able to have your income information recorded and available upon request. In order to have us help you, or at a minimum have us have your income information on record, we have prepared the following income form to complete and return to us. IMPORTANT: The form is not fully compatible with some mobile browsers so you should open and complete on your desktop or laptop computers. Here is the link to complete and provide your information. This will help us to prepare to lodge your forms tomorrow without having to worry about it on a weekday. http://ow.ly/TiuK30qCHi5 Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

01.01.2022 *BREAKING NEWS* - ATO Releases Alternative Turnover Test There has been massive concern from educators about their eligibility for JobKeeper. These concerns related to reductions or increases to their income in various circumstances including: 1. Educators who were not in operation in March and/or April 2019 for a number of reasons including holidays, sickness or injury.... 2. Educators who commenced their business since 1 July 2019 and therefore did not have any trading history for March and/or April 2019. 3. Educator's whose turnover has increased or changed significantly since March and/April 2019. We have repeated that there will be allowances for circumstances such as these, but up until about 30 minutes ago had no further guidance from the tax office or treasury. We welcome the ATO proving the information for educators in the above and other unique situations. We will be preparing an updated newsletter explaining how this will work in more simple and applicable terms in relation to Family Day Care. In waiting for this Newsletter keep in mind that there is no requirement, nor is there the ability to report this information to the ATO until at least May 4. Therefore there will be plenty of time for you to consider and work out which of the alternative tests are best for you to utilise. To be updated, and if you have not already subscribed you may sign up to our newsletter at the link below, or like or follow our facebook page. Sign up to Newsletter Link - http://ow.ly/RXSp50zm4pO If you wish to review the changes and tests yourself you can go to the following link which outlines the changes. it is expected that the tax office will also be providing further examples and guidance in the near future and you should keep your eye out for any changes to their website or other notifications they may choose to send. Link to most updated (and legalistic) information: http://ow.ly/8pNS50zm4gn We look forward to updating everyone soon

01.01.2022 JOBKEEPER POST 20 JULY - FINAL DECISION PENDING A number of Educators have been asking how to stop claiming JobKeeper on 20 July, and we have received reports that a number schemes have already started to send out forms for educators to agree that they will not claim JobKeeper. At the moment there is a final decision and policy pending regarding JobKeeper for FDC Educators. Until this final advice is received there is no need to take any action as it may well be that Educato...rs may continue to receive JobKeeper after 20 July. Stay tuned with fingers crossed, and we will update our facebook when final clarification is provided.
