22.01.2022 Ash & Heath's Story , How did you meet? We were 21 and Ash came over to New Zealand to see some of her kiwi friends. Ash was road tripping around the North Island with her friends and one of the stops was camping out on Heath's family farm for New Years Eve (which is when we first met). We had an instant connection. Ash is terrified of chicken's and there are a lot running around on the farm - within about 5 minutes of meeting each other Ash instinctively ran to Heath for pr...otection from these damn chicken's. Ash went back to Australia and Heath sent her a facebook message saying "you left your hair brush here" (so smooth haha). Years passed and so did other relationships. Ash came back over to New Zealand to see her friends and Heath took Ash to see some glow worms. We then did long distance for a while until Ash decided to move over to NZ. The rest is history. , Describe the proposal: Ash had just been on a trip with her family in the South Island of NZ. Heath picked Ash up from the airport and drove her home. When we arrived home, Heath said "do you mind letting keira (our dog) out of the house?". Ash ran to let keira out and noticed that something was tied around her neck - it was a ring! 09.01.2022 How did you meet? We met in high school and were in the same cohort. We became good friends in year 11 and were apart of the same social group. Describe the proposal: We travelled up to Mt Tamborine for our 9 year anniversary and stayed at an Air BnB over the weekend. Zane said he needed to set up my anniversary present. Little to my knowledge Zane was constructing an archway with lights and flowers against the backdrop of the hinterland. I followed the sound of music to find... Zane under the archway and he bent down on one knee. As soon as I seen the ring I snatched the ring box with so much force I broke the box! 05.01.2022 Jeri & Alex Story , How did you meet? We met back in 2011 when Alex got a job at the office I was working at. ,... Describe the proposal: He proposed on 12 December 2016. It was a Monday afternoon. He has Monday’s off and he text me asking me if I’d go for a ride on his Harley that afternoon. I said yes hesitantly as I knew I’d be mentally exhausted by the end of the day as I was in a horrid job at the time, but he loves taking me for rides so I said yes. I got home and he was in a great mood, and asked did I want to shower and change? Of course, I said, no let’s just go now otherwise I’ll flop on the couch and won’t want to get up. (Poor fellow, I wasn’t very enthusiastic that day.) So he took me on the back of the bike up to Mount Cootha, on the way yelling out weird facts like did you know it’s Frank Sinatra’s birthday today? He liked Jack Daniels like us babe, Funny guy had googled December 12 earlier that day. So we arrive and he finds a spot where we sit down and he proceeds to tell me all of these wonderful things, so heartfelt - don’t ever change, I love everything about you - type things. Things I never imagined hearing. And then he asked me to stand up, while he got down on one knee and I went into shock. I went white & my legs were jelly. The whole experience was beautiful because for once I wasn’t talking (because I was in shock) and he told me everything I could possibly want to hear and it sounded so organic. It was a perfect moment. On top of this he had smuggled a little bottle of champagne and two cups in his bike jacket so we were able to have champagne together while we phoned our parents, before going home. When we got home about ten of our friends came over and we drank more champagne.
