09.01.2022 Only one more week to go in the first Classic Six Dances Course (at Wyee Community Hall). Next week we will be learning the Swing Waltz, which would have the be the CLASSIC of all the classic Australian New Vogue Waltzes. So far we have covered the Gypsy Tap, The Merrilyn, The Mayfair Quickstep and this week's lesson on La Bomba.

06.01.2022 This morning I realised that we have been running the dance at Maryland for just on 15 years. Fifteen years!!!!!! And for all that time the floor at the hall has been one of the best for dancing in the Newcastle region - if not the best. In the last few months it hasn't been what it used to be. After consultation with the owners of the hall Steve has now started a program of machine buffing of the floor surface, and the floor seems to be improving. The program will continue for some time yet, with a special effort made on the morning of the Saturday of the dance. Great work Steve!
