09.01.2022 At a time of the year when our towns are normally bustling with summer fun we are currently devastated by the impact of recent bushfires in nearby National Park...s, State Forests and farmland. We are forever grateful to emergency personnel, volunteers, agencies and community members who have helped protect our townships from harm over the past fortnight. We cannot thank these brave people enough. Although our region has been affected economically our thoughts are with those that lost so much more. Due to the huge efforts of the emergency services and favourable weather conditions, the State of disaster is no longer active across our region, however we still have bushfires, with many emergency services working around the clock to keep us safe. We are also experiencing poor air quality as a result of the fires. We are so thankful for the support and kind messages we have received, and we are heartened by the enthusiasm of people to come back to our region.
