21.01.2022 Vaccination has revolutionised control of infectious disease in our pets. It is essential that all pets are adequately vaccinated to help protect the pet population as a whole. Responsible pet care requires puppies and kittens to be given their initial course of vaccinations, but this cannot protect them for the rest of their lives. Adult dogs and cats require regular vaccination to maintain immunity against dangerous diseases. Please give us a call on 60333777 to discuss a suitable vaccination regime for your furry friend. #petvaccination #petcare #corowapets #corowa #veterinarian #petsofinstapetsofinstagram #novaccinationnovaccation

15.01.2022 This is Dexter's a 2-year-old Siberian Husky's bravery story. On Wednesday the 9th of September around mid-morning Dexter started showing strange twitching signs and was shaking, due to the sudden onsite of symptoms and as they were quite familiar signs Dexter’s family brought him straight down to see the vet and got him help as soon as they noticed he wasn’t feeling himself. Dexter presented to us with muscle tremors and fasciculations throughout his body. While he was stil...l able to stand and walk, he seemed a little disorientated and panting excessively. His eyes were twitching and Pupils mildly dilated with minimal response to light. A clinical examination of Dexter gave the team enough indication to start treating dexter for a snake bite. He was quickly put on IV fluid therapy, with antivenom injected slowly intravenously over 20 minutes. (Adrenalin was close by but not used as his heart rate remained stable) His symptoms started to ease as the day went by and was monitored through the night. We were so happy to see him walk himself out next afternoon! You go, Dexter! You are amazing. #latepost #bravepets #snakebite #corowapets #corowa #huskies

13.01.2022 Zelda said she is proud of herself and her brother Casper the lop-eared rabbit for being so brave for their Microchipping and Vaccination and being protected against dangerous diseases. 12.01.2022 Did you know, Tonometry is a diagnostic test that measures the pressure inside your pet's eye, which is called intraocular pressure (IOP). This measurement can help your Vet determine whether or not your pet may be at risk of glaucoma. 09.01.2022 Planning a vacation with your pet this holiday season? We thought a pet checklist would be helpful in the chaos of preparing a trip. Check if their vaccination are up-to-date. Check if they are microchipped and if their microchip details are current and correct. Make an appointment for their Health Check so you know they are in good health and get all their preventative care organised. If your pet has travel sickness, you can ask your vet for medication that they might need to keep them calm and happy while you all are on the road. Check on your pet's food stock and make sure you have plenty of their medications. Keep a Pet First aid kit handy with you. These are available by special order from us; ask our team for any help preparing for your holiday.

08.01.2022 So I’m sure this guy looks familiar to most. He is a flea and with the warmer months around the corner, it’s his time to shine! Fleas aren't just a nuisance for our pets but they can also cause some pretty serious health conditions for them if they have a heavy burden or are particularly reactive to their saliva. Luckily there are many options for flea control and prevention! We always encourage owners that prevention is better than cure as we are all too familiar with famil...y’s who have had to go to extreme measures to rid the household of fleas. We now have a huge range of options for flea treatment and not only do they cover fleas but often products cover more than one ectoparasite. There are also many treatment options; from spot ons, tablets, meaty chews and collars. So just remember your pet doesn’t need to suffer the wrath of the flea!! There are so many options out there which will keep your pet itch free and protected all year around from those pesky parasites! If you're not sure what is the best product for your pet give us a call! For the warmer months we have great deals on Nexgard and Nexgard spectra, buy a six month pack and get one month for free

07.01.2022 This big beautiful boy ‘Ollie’ came in for his tooth fair Tuesday dental check and I trimmed his nails while he was here as he was being such a cooperative gentleman although tooth fairy Sharni noticed slight staining of the teeth, fortunately Ollie has amazing tooth and gum health for a 4 year old male so he will not need a dental this time around but we applaud his owner for taking all the best precautions to prevent further build up of tartar. Need a free dental checkup for your furry friend? Make the best use of Tooth Fairy Tuesdays. Call our Tooth Fairy Sharni on 60333777.
