This experience day will focus on the Murnong plant which was harvested and used as a common food source, by not just the Wada Wurrung people’s, but multiple clan groups across Australia. 10.01.2022 CALLING FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST Central Highlands Wimmera Wurreker Broker VAEAI is the peak body for Koorie education and training in Victoria, providing policy advice to the State Government. VAEAI is a state wide community based organisation comprised of 30 Local Aboriginal Education Consultative Groups (LAECGs), across eight regions in Victoria. We are seeking expressions of interest from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders who are passionate about making a diffe...rence to Koorie participation and outcomes in education and training. The Central Highlands Wimmera Wurreker Broker position focuses on the ongoing functions and operations of the Wurreker Strategy in the Central Highlands Wimmera region of Victorian (encompassing towns such as Ballarat, Halls Gap and Horsham). The Wurreker Broker position is currently based in Ballarat. It is expected that the successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of Koorie culture, have established local networks and an understanding of the issues that affect Koorie people, particularly in education and training. High levels of written and oral communication skills are also required. Only Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people are eligible to apply Expressions of Interest (EOI) COB Friday 28th February 2020.
