24.01.2022 Just 3 weeks after laying Nullarbor couch it’s looking tip top thanks to #plantdoctor liquid fertilisers and soil conditioners. We have an extensive range in stock to get your lawn looking as good as this!
23.01.2022 The start and finish of this was three weeks apart. Spring is the perfect time to renovate your lawn, whether it be to improve the over all health of the grass or just to lower the height of cut. Usually begins with fertilising a few weeks earlier to deal with the stress it’ll be put under. Renovating normally means coring or aerating and removing a thick layer of thatch (dead organic matter) that stops water and fertiliser from penetrating. It can be done by lowering with a ...mower or even better an actual dethatching machine to remove the thatch. Can be left as is or if you want to level your lawn out you can top dress with washed sand or a top dressing mix. It looks rough for a couple of weeks but it comes back a million times better! products used were made by Plant Doctor and QLD Organics all available at the shop. Sand was supplied by Gladstone Landscaping. See more

19.01.2022 Our beautiful followers who have been supporting us for a while know about our amazing, bestselling Queensland itch and hotspot cream for pets, and now I hope t...o share it with all our lovely new followers. Ready for a history lesson on Native Magic? Here we go! This business started at a very small scale when I was 14 years old and noticed the horrible rashes and hotspots my dog used to get come summer time. After trying numerous natural remedies on my dog and nothing working, my mother and I got into the kitchen and started cooking up some very questionable mixtures... , however after months of cooking up natural remedies and many trial and errors, we made a truely magical cream. After the first few application of our final product, my dogs rashes started to heal over and the fur that he had lost started to re grow! But that was not the most jaw dropping moment. I think it truely clicked that we had stumbled across a miracle when we saw that our cream was soothing and dare I say it... healing eczema and psoriasis! We where gobsmacked and immediately began looking for packaging to share our creation with the world. Unfortunately, after about a month of our products being sold in stores, we where told that in order to sell a product with the amount of claims we where making, it had to be registered, which was going to cost us around $50,000. It was a disappointing realisation and we had to stop product production immediately. In that month my product was available to the world, I began to believe that this was what I would spend my life doing, helping both people and pets where I could. Months later I was stuck with a job I hated and a school I hated equally as much. I was depressed and angry at the world and come the start of a new year, I had enough. I met with my boss, I quit on the top of my tounge when he told me ‘April, your not the average paper clip. The people I have work for me don’t have to be the most durable in the pack, but your a tough one. You know what you are doing’ I took what he had said to me, thanked him profusely, and quit. He was right, I was working a 6 hour school day whilst working and studying criminal law at university at 16 years old. I could do this. So after quitting my job I made myself a promise that I would drop school as soon as I had my future secured and that’s what I did. I found out that I could still sell my cream for pets and so i made new labels and my product was released to the world again. I am now 17 and have left high school and university to pursue my small business, which now has so many more new products that I couldn’t be more proud of, and so many more in the making! And not just for pets, we have some beautiful care packages that will be perfect for Mother’s Day . It was not an easy road to get to where I am today, which is definitely not the end of the road for me, but I wouldn’t be telling the truth if I said everything was perfect now. It’s not, I still struggle sometimes but it’s better then where I was and as long as I keep moving forward, I’ll get to my perfect. Every product I make in my mums kitchen (thanks mum!), derived from our own farm, is another step forward I take on the road towards my future, I still have a long way to go, but I enjoy every minute. If you wish to learn more about my products and their benefits or where else you can find our Lemon Myrtle, head over to my website https://www.nativemagic.com.au Or follow me on my journey via Facebook @Native Magic or Instagram @native.magic
