25.01.2022 Times are tough and the Feeding Friends Patong are a bunch of softies. Every time my manager goes shopping keep getting a receipt to pay for 2 boxes of Chup a Chups. It so rewarding to give these kids a little treat when the only food you are receiving is rice, noodles, can fish, some vegetables and fish sauce. Looks like I will be buying boxed of Chup A Chups for a while!

Unfortunately most are going home to spend some time with their families.... Girls we are so proud of your super effort, love and dedication you have shown or friends in Patong that have been doing it hard. 22.01.2022 Today food handout 200 food bags! Keeping our commitment to help as many people as we can today we handed out 200 food bags and milk for the kids. A amazing effort for our much small team. Great effort team unfortunately we are still seeing long lines of hungry people.

21.01.2022 Our team is preparing for our final Food bag Handout. We are planning to handout up too 400 food bags later this week. This will use up the last of the money from your generous donations. 19.01.2022 10 Eggs, 1.5 Kg of Rice, 2 bottle of water, a can of fish in tomato sauce, noodles, a bottle of cooking oil, a bottle of fish sauce, a packet of chicken flavouring and spice and vegetables. This is enough food to make 5 to 6 main meals or to feed a family one main meal. If cost only $5 AUD to make one food handout bag. The areas we deliver to are chosen by the local government and we pack to feed the all the people that are in these areas, sometimes as little as 125 famili...es but we have had up to 360 families turn up for handouts. sometimes we are enough and sometimes we dont quite have enough. How much food we can hand out is only determined by how much money we have. Unfortunately we have far more people than we do food bags. We need your help... we are committed to keep helping these poor people that have no income or way to support themselves but we need your help. Donations keep this program going. 16.01.2022 A huge thank you to all our volunteers, supporters and donors for your generous amazing support. Your support has allowed us to support 1000s and 1000s of our Thai friend over the last 3 months. Our team has done a amazing job feeding our friends in Phuket that have had no way of supporting themselves during these challenging times. Unfortunately we are have little choice put to start to wind down our program as most of our team have chosen to go back home to North Eastern... Thailand. The sad news is Patong has become a ghost town with a long road to recovery with many of the people who have been waiting for the turnaround now planing to go home. Our team will return back to Patong when things improve. Today we are handing out 250 food bags and we will continue to support the Thai people with handouts that are less labour intensive like Milk of the children and Noodle packs etc. Thing we can support with a smaller team. 15.01.2022 520 food bags handout. Unfortunately this is the last food handout we will be doing. With our resources depleted and staff returning home will will unable to continue our food give aways. Wal Brown is hoping the Government will fill the gap and support the locals. Hopefully with the entertainment areas slowly opening back up the Thais will start to travel to the island on start to fill the gap of the international tourists. 40 days without any community transmission Th...ailand has done an amazing job but its further will rely on the return of the rest of the world! 12.01.2022 Unfortunately things arent getting better quickly, yes the beach opened , we have been open 2 weeks at Tongfa Massage and had 5 customers, the airports opened on the 16th June but things are very slow. Without local or international tourists most businesses are unsustainable and most of the people in Phuket will be unemployed for the alert the next 2 month. Next week I am sending Nop my manager home to spend some time with her family hopefully before things start to open an...d tourist come back. The only thing we can see which is a positive is this is only possible with the support from and amazing group of people. Firstly out Facebook supporters and donors.... 09.01.2022 Todays food handout of 150 food bags. Unfortunately we are starting to wind done our program with donations slowing down. With handouts going on for months and months we face many challenges fundraising, supplies, logistics and staff. With no work and our teams being paid salaries from our businesses to sit around waiting for customers with no one around and just waiting for things to open we have suggested they go home and spend some time with their families for now, do...nations have been in dramatic decline as feeding people has become the norm. We have enough money to probably run for a couple more weeks. Feeding Friends have had some amazing support and seen the generosity of your heart and souls of so many people supporting us during these challenging times. We hope and pray that things will start to return to normal soon, Thailand has just gone 29 days without a community infection which has been an amazing success but without international tourists our friends in Patong are looking to go back to the provinces and start a new life there as earning a income seem to be much further away that the comfort and shelter of the home town. We will keep you updated on a daily basis but the only thing we really need to say for now is. Your support and generosity has been amazing! We heart featly thank you on behalf of all our friends in Patong. I need to buy each and everyone of you a beer!

08.01.2022 Important announcement We will be changing our food handouts program Unfortunately as things have havent changed in Patong and many of our Thai team have lost faith in things turning around quickly so they are taking a break and heading home! We understand their position as they spend hours and hours sitting around waiting for customers, they came to Phuket with the dreams of making money to take care of their family. Our business have been paying them wages... but the boredom of waiting has taken its toll. This means we will no longer have the people to pack and help handout out food bags. Our food program is very labour intensive and requires a large team to pack these handouts. I am sure you all understand that while we have supported our staff during this time that they have their own lives, families and choices too make. We respect and support them 100% and hope to see them again soon. To keep helping we will now handout Noodles packs and Milk packs for the children and other items that we can purchase and handout. These are products we can buy and distribute without a large team to help. Our focus is still trying to help as many people as we can with our remaining team. As supporters and donors you need to choose if you wish to keep supporting our program or whether you wish to support other groups who are doing a fantastic job. We have taken your donations in good faith and will be using every cent towards helping our Friends in Patong. No money is used to pay our team our for any towards any costs. It is all spent on food and handed out to people in need only. The shirts and Chupa a Chups are purchased by our staff and ourselves and not with donations. If you no long wish to support our program we are happy to return any donations. Please message us and we will return you donations. We thank you for your generous support. Their survival is on a day to day basis with no short term foreseeable solution. They can only rely totally on the generosity of other.
