23.01.2022 Saying goodbye to the ones you love and who shared that adventure that we call life together is a pretty crazy experience. Feeling torn between two homes one on each side of the planet is apparently the female lignage in my family. My grandmother Peggy was born in England and left her country after falling in love with a South African man during the war. She spent the rest of her life in SA and never went back. My mother Lesley left South Africa where she grew up after meetin...g a French man and she raised her 2 daughters and has lived there ever since. Then comes me, I left France, not for a man but for a new adventure and built my life here in Australia that I now call home. Now it seems like I am breaking the pattern... and heading back to France for some time. I want to live in a world of possibilities where I can live between 2 countries and not feel torn or missing my loved ones in both continents !! #femalelignage #women #lignage #family #yourstory #sayinggoodbye #australia #france #home See more

20.01.2022 Homebirth is so stigmatized. When you mention it during an average family dinner people look at you like if you had mentioned cosmetic surgery and then share all the terrible birth stories they know. They have never really researched the topic but they will say with a very confident tone "it is just irresponsible, it's too dangerous". Ok, thanks for your uninformed opinion! . There is a wealth of quality evidence from around the world (and right here in Australia) to suppo...rt the safety of planned, midwife assisted homebirth and most healthy low-risk women with normal pregnancies are very suitable candidates. . The most recent piece of research on homebirth (2020) looks at 16 studies providing data on 500,000 planned homebirths. The findings show that among low-risk women, those intending to birth at home experienced fewer birth interventions and untoward maternal outcomes. . They found no reported maternal deaths and women intending to give birth at home compared to hospital were less likely to experience: caesarean section operative vaginal birth epidural analgesia oxytocin augmentation maternal infection . Pooled results for post partum haemorrhage showed that women intending home births were either less likely or did not differ from those intending hospital birth. Go to @homebirthnsw if you want more data. . I mean look at this photo - it says it all really! This woman feels safe, empowered and ecstatic! by the incredible @kat_randall_photography . #power #birth #birthpartner #pregnancy #birthteam #homebirthmidwife #homebirth #homebirthmidwives #birthathome #homebirthsydney #baby #newborn #love #teamwork #doula #gentlebirth #powerfulbirth #birthphotography #photography #powerfulphotography See more

16.01.2022 This week I celebrate 3 years of teaching yoga. What an interesting journey it's been both as a student and as a teacher. Sometimes your own practice is not as consistent as you would want. Sometimes you feel so grounded and in your body and breath, it's magic. Sometimes you have to push yourself to go and teach and sometimes you come out from a class on such a high, grateful for the community and being able to share what you love with others. I am looking forward to see what the years ahead will bring! #yogaforlife #yoga #yogateacher #teachingyoga #yogastudent #vinyasa #yinyoga #prenatalyoga

11.01.2022 Homemade postpartum meal delivery on it's way to a client! Raw cacao and avocado mud cake, peanut butter and honey rice puff snacks, healthy ginger fried rice, c-section vegetable stew, 12h cooked bone broth. . Postpartum Nutrition is very important. After carrying her baby for 40 weeks, the new mother also needs to be well nourished to replenish her strength and life force energy . It is never too late to take those steps even with a baby who is already a few months old ... 40 days of care today is thought to lead to 40 years of good health and energy and a better transition in a 2nd or 3rd pregnancy and one day in menopause. . WHAT'S IN IT? Ginger has a very long history of use in various forms of traditional/alternative medicine. Powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, helps digestion and lowers blood sugar. Honey is anti-inflammatory, alleviates allergies with antioxidant, antimicrobial, and soothing effects. Peanut butter contains monounsaturated fat and has many powerful vitamins, protein, fibre and protein. Bone broth, slow cooked for 12 hours. Highly mineralizing, nourishing and anti-inflammatory. Perfect for a malnourished body. The amino acids help rebuild muscle and connective tissue, proline clear the arteries of deposits. Glycine helps heal the gut lining, calms the brain and detoxifies the liver. (Yes, I am vegetarian but postpartum needs for a mother may require the use of meat as medicine, following Ayurvedic principles.) and many other magical ingredients, spices and herbs! . I prioritize ORGANIC ingredients for all my recipes and avoid packaging thanks to @thesourcebulkfoods (usually also deliver in glass jars but with Covid rules, had to do plastic for this one! Trying to find ecocup options). . #thefirst40days #postpartum #postnatal #postnatalcare #postnatalnutrition #afterbirth @ Sydney, Australia See more

08.01.2022 Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu Guru devo Maheshwara Guru sakshat param Brahma Tasmai shri guravay namah... In the Yogic tradition we celebrate the light spreading through darkness, celebrating our Teachers. The power that enlightens is all around us at all times. The opportunity for personal growths and transformation comes in all shapes and forms. This Full Moon in Capricorn is also the time to shed anything that is no longer in alignement with our authentic self. To assist this we need to let go of our attachment to people, things, situations, that don't serve us. We are moving towards a transformational manifesting stage for the 2nd part of the year. Thank you to my friend @essential.shift for sharing our practice tonight and to @recits_dune_puericultrice for her constant presence, always. #yoga #lunar #eclipse #gurupurnima #moon #vidya #gaia #truth #enlightenement #yogic

02.01.2022 Shamanic drum making . We were all born with a drum our heartbeat. We hear the heartbeat of our mother in the womb. Making contact with a drum awakens our soul, connecting us to primal memories, to our ancestors and to mother earth. . Shamans around the world use their drum to access an altered state of consciousness to perform journeys for self, others and the planet.... . We use the term birthing in relation to creating a drum, because it is truly a process of creation. It is a combination of two individual spirits the tree spirit and the animal spirit that contribute to the hide. We bring the two together in ceremony with intent and a new spirit is conceived. It is believed that much like children, this new drum chose us as a parent, to be a friend, teacher, mentor and healer. Each drum is unique and brings its own character to our lives. . The drum takes your prayers to Spirit. It contains within it’s circle, all that is, was and will be. All the answers can be found within it’s circle. As you awaken to and honor your rhythm through the drum, you awaken to inner growth and healing which manifests outwardly to heal the planet. @ Mount White, New South Wales See more
