18.01.2022 A walk I will never forget. 7am walking 180m across one of the most beautiful gaps in the mountains. It was a PB, but that wasn’t important, the greatest part was being totally present with Max @feet_off_ground the whole way walking beside me on a 160m highline and the distant sounds of a waterfall in the background - unforgettable. . 15.01.2022 Wow, what a day! Beautiful conditions, a massive 221m highline, we even had whales come and visit us from below. . It’s funny how important expectations are. I hadn’t slacklined at all in 2 months, not even in a park, so I got on the line with no expectations. . At the start all I could feel were my legs shaking, by the middle my arms felt like they weighed 100kg each. But then something shifted in my mind, I slowed right down, I started listening to the sound of the waves b...elow me. I was no longer in a hurry to get to the other end, happy to just consciously take each step. All of a sudden, my arms didn’t bother me, my legs stopped shaking - it was a truly meditative experience. . Very happy to have walked the line Max Penel @feet_off_ground walked last year to set the Australian Record. . 02.01.2022 The King Line 173m long and for a great cause too! #helpsaveouroceans One thing that Highlining gives me is an appreciation for nature and all that exists around me. So I was stoked to help out with this project organised by Arthur @slackmate. We setup some amazing Highline’s, hauled a heap of garbage out of the cliffs, and got some great feedback from passers by. . I hope the message of limiting single use plastic, picking up garbage that you see (even if it’s not yours) #take3forthesea, and preserving nature gets through to people. 02.01.2022 Flash back to July this year in France. Maxi sending the gnar in Chamonix - an epic alpine project!! It involved camping at the base with 20kg backpacks - then 500m of alpine climbing just to get to the line. 6am start and then 16 hours on the push - great effort and vision on this First Ascent!
