24.01.2022 Amazing unregulated practitioners continue to "deface" vulnerable patients. Clinics often run by remote medical entrepreuneurs remain very common in Australia. Patient safety is sacrificed for a business model. My face was on fire: Patients call for tighter regulation of powerful cosmetic lasers http://www.abc.net.au//cosmetic-laser-treatments-/11489196
23.01.2022 We are hard wired from infancy to respond happily to the 3 Key central facial features: eyes, cheeks and mouth. When these features are warm and welcoming, infants respond with a happy smile and feel reassured. Aesthetic practitioners understand how to enhance and beautify the Eyes, Cheeks & Mouth. The approach to successful treatment requires both scientific and aesthetic expertise. Naturally each patient presentation is unique and requires an artisan and bespoke perspective.
22.01.2022 An esteemed US colleague explains the importance of choosing an ethical clinic.
22.01.2022 This is a message to all our loyal patients. Our clinic currently remains closed during this Covid 19 crisis. Your safety is our priority. When the time is right for a safe resumption of our clinical services, we will make the appropriate arrangements and announcements. In the meantime we send our best wishes for a safe passage through this formidable challenge to our society.
20.01.2022 Correct placement of a cosmetic injectables is the absolute key to a successful patient outcome. We frequently see patients from some other clinics who have had injectables in the wrong areas and tissue depths resulting in disappointing outcomes. Just a waste of money and risky at that. Please be sure to see a properly trained & qualified injector. Dr Feiner has 3 post graduate Australian college fellowships in the field of cosmetic medicine. He is also the longstanding medical dean of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery, responsible for traing eligible doctors to fellowship level in the field of non invasive & minimally invasive cosmetic procedures.
20.01.2022 Patients beware!
20.01.2022 So, we may have an injectable treatment for cellulite in the not so distant future, after approval was recently granted in the USA
19.01.2022 The following is posted not to intimidate but more to illustrate what is happening in the UK (and also in Australia) when inadequately trained and unqualified practitioners venture into the field of injectable face treatments. https://www.thesun.co.uk//horrific-photos-fillers-rotting/
19.01.2022 Very honoured last week to be invited onto the IMCAS Academy Scientific Board. IMCAS is based in Paris, France and is the largest organisation in the world involved in advancing medical education to thousands of Cosmetic Doctors. I believe I am the first and only Australian to have been invited into this board. https://www.imcas.com/en/academy/explore/scientific-board
17.01.2022 Recently came across the following statement about various "non invasive" treatments for fat reduction. Sadly these treatments can prove disappointing and prone to being overrated in marketing. Occasionally some pleasing outcomes have been claimed. However patients shoyld exercise caution unless you are prepared to shell out a lot of $ for what may prove to be a minimal to almost zero outcome. "Another way to remove fat cells without having to go under the knife, is non-s...urgical fat removal. It is an innovative procedure which uses a range of techniques to vibrate and remove fat cells by freezing or heating. CoolSculpting, SculpSure, Venus Freezeand (fat disolving injections) are just a few examples of non-surgical fat removal treatments. The procedure is perfect for those who do not want surgery but would like to see quick and effective results. Non-surgical fat reduction costs between $800 and $1400 per session (with multiple session normally needed) and has a recovery time of about a week". See more
17.01.2022 Patients sometimes excitedly approach us with information about some alleged breakthough treatments. Unfortunately social media is saturated with marketing hype and exaggerated claims devised by entrepreneurs. Potential patients should exercise caution before consenting to procedures that sensationally over promise but ultimately under deliver.
16.01.2022 Both in & outside my role as Medical Dean of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery (ACCS), I have taught scores of doctors and many nurses in the art and science of filler treatments. Its crucial to choose a an expert clinician as facial fillers can change the impression of your face in a very positive way: balance, expression, contour, proportion can all be adjusted to create a more pleasing aesthetic. Nuanced treatments mean you remain very much the same person an...d not a bizarre remnant of your former self. Its a signature treatment as each face is different. Any trained doctor or nurse can pick up a needle and vaccinate you or inject a medication. Unfortunately many poorly trained and indeed poorly motivated clinicians are dabbling in aesthetic medicine to generate extra income. However injecting your face for aesthetic enhancement is a completely different skill. Be very selective in choosing your doctor or nurse for this delicate aesthetic treatment.
14.01.2022 In the last 3 years cosmetic doctors have been directing treatment to ageing jawlines. Appropriate filler injections can restore the appearance of the jawlines that has regressed secondary to bone resorption. Corrections to regressed chins and jaw angles are very pleasing to patients. Of course as doctors we are anxious to ensure that patients pay attention to osteoporosis prevention and dental care as these factors can accelerate regression of the jawline. http://www.dryaremchuk.com//wp-/uploads/2016/08/aging9.jpg
14.01.2022 Very honoured to have recently been voted by my peers for the distinction of "Life Membership" of "Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery".

13.01.2022 It is not always understood in cosmetic medicine that each region of the face interelates with the other regions. For example, if the mid face is sagging and lacking in contour, it negatively impacts the lower face. So the midface needs to be improved first, before embarking on lower face procedures. At Cosmetica Clinic each patient is assessed & treated in a bespoke manner. It is the only way to optimise treaments and maximise success.
13.01.2022 Minimally Invasive Cosmetic Procedures Trending in 2020 Trending in 2020 will see patients demanding, more than ever, natural and harmonised facial outcomes. There will be a focus on enhancing noses, foreheads, jawlines, chins, necks and temples. Invasive facial surgery will continue to decline as women seek out innovative scarless innovations.... Patients continue to desire a more beautiful and rejuvenated appearance. It is often an emotional experience for patients when they recognise recaptured youthful beauty after a brief and relatively non- traumatic medical procedure. With contemporary minimally-invasive surgical aesthetics, we can offer patients an opportunity to experience natural enhanced appearance without major risk and downtime. The objective is not to alter the appearance of a person to make them look unrecognisable, but to recapture the patients inherent youthful features. 2020 will be a year when patients appreciate, more than ever, that beautiful natural outcomes are achievable with minimally invasive procedures. While some doctors "dabble" in cosmetic procedures as a sideline to their usual activities, patients have come to appreciate that a trained, dedicated cosmetic practitioner professional knows how to avoid major risks, while excelling in creating beautiful aesthetic outcomes.
13.01.2022 At our clinic we have been patiently waiting to observe outcomes from around the globe using injectables for hair restoration. Results have been impressive so we are now offering such treatments. Costs depend on surface area to be injected but can be quite economical for a reassuring outcome.. Maintenance treatments are required 6-12 monthly to maintain the improvement . For women experiecing hair loss, the treatment can lead to so much more confidence and self esteem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebko8EOl1Ig
12.01.2022 Dear Patients. We have set a date for re-opening the clinic-Monday 11th May! We will be spacing appointments to minimise patient numbers in the clinic at any one time and we will be observing health safety measures to minimise risk at your attendance.... We must insist on only well patients attending. Please, one person at a time and please do not bring children as we will not be able to attend to them or assure their safety. Pleae cancel at anytime if you suspect you may be unwell. Looking forward to seeing our lovely patients after this long and unscheduled break. Best wishes from us all at the clinic.
11.01.2022 NEW on the IMCAS blog! Dr Ronald Feiner shares his tip when treating a tear trough deformity. His suggestion? Consider a regional rather than an isolated approach to injectable filler correction. Read the full article here https://imcas.com/go/vBLv
10.01.2022 What is meant by an "artisan" approach to aesthetic procedures? Well it takes years of study and experience to formulate a meaningful individualised treatment strategy for a patient. Naturally no two people are the same. The challenge is to create an aesthetic outcome that restores the more youthful and pleasing aspects of a patients unique aesthetic foundation. So often we see patients who have had odd looking outcomes from clinic treatments that reflect a "production line" approach to cosmetic medicine. Patients have spent thousands of dollars, only to emerge disappointed with poor and disheartening aesthetic outcomes. Be assured that when you have a consultation at our clinic you will be respected and treated as an individual.

10.01.2022 We now understand that over-zealous muscle relaxing injections have negative psychological implications. We do need to smile and we do need to frown (a little). For instance over-treatment of smile lines is associated with depressive implications. The aim of all treatments should be to harmonise the face, not to obliterate all expressions including positive ones. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-018-33119-1
09.01.2022 Recently consulted a naturally beautiful patient in her late 30s, previously consulted by a facial plastic surgeon who had advised a formal face lift. This was a totally inappropriate choice of treatment when some very modest treatment interventions would suffice. Alarming to observe that such unnecessary surgical interventions are still proposed to unsuspecting patients.

08.01.2022 As everyone is aware, the Covid 19 viral illness is having a tremendous impact on our lives. The only way we can manage this crisis is to contain it as much as possible. It is natural in such circumstances that demand for elective cosmetic procedures has contracted and that it makes good medical sense to to close the clinic until this crisis has settled. We be regularly updating this Facebook page over the crisis period and look forward to re-opening our clinic services as... soon as possible. So dear patients keep healthy, stay home as much as you can and look after each other.
08.01.2022 Dear Dr. Feiner, Your chapter has proved to be very popular and has been downloaded 2000 times to date. CHAPTER TITLE: Suture Lifting and Liposculpture Integration in the Creation of Facial Esthetic Harmony https://www.semanticscholar.org//c1bd3d55407f9970c687f7035
07.01.2022 Interview today with: https://honey.nine.com.au/ regarding young people seeking cosmetic treatments. Also interviews with the Telegraph newspapers about cosmetic medical issues including cosmetic injection parties. As medical dean (in charge of training doctors) at the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery (ACCS) in minimally invasive procedures, I receive frequent media enquiries about this field of work. It forms my personal commitment, along with the ACCS, in seeking promotion of ethical practise principles and public education in cosmetic medicine.
05.01.2022 While we are not open due to the current crisis, patients can call and ask advice and purchase any cosmeceutical requirements which will be sent out by parcel postage.
05.01.2022 Procedures at our boutique clinic in Castle Hill encompass a wide spectrum of non-invasive & minimally invasive options. These include enhancement of less common regions such as chins, jawlines, noses, temples, foreheads, hands and even flattened ear lobes! We use methods such as fillers, suture lifts, liposculpture & fat grafting to achieve outcomes. Art & science must always be combined.

03.01.2022 Organically, from infancy onwards, we all engage with each other by observing the central face. The triad of eyes, cheeks and mouth give out so many clues, such as warmth (and at the other end of the spectrum hostility). We all make this assessment in a second. Its a survival mechanism. Thats why open, well proportioned eyes are so engaging. Minimally invasive procedures including eyelid surgery can rejuvenate the appearance of eyes. All available at our clinic and performed under local anaesthesia. No need to be hospitalised. https://www.facebook.com/2564245760254362/posts/3343785648967032/
03.01.2022 Dear Patients, Pending ongoing improvements in the outlook for Covid 19, we are planning to possibly reopening the clinic sometime in May. We will be following strict health guidelines to maximise safety for all patients and staff. For instance we will be contacting you the day before attendance to check that you are not ill or suffering respiratory symptoms. Entering the practice we will be asking you to use the hand sanitiser provided. It is necessary to come alone or with only one member of your household & no accompanying children. We will update when more information available. Keep healthy and safe.
03.01.2022 Dr Feiner is honoured to have been invited as a speaker/panelist to IMCAS Paris at the end of this January. He will be a on two international panels examining complications with cosmetic injectables. IMCAS is the largest and most prestigious cosmetic medical conference in the world. It is held yearly at the Palais de Congress in Paris, attracting some 12,000 delegates. https://www.imcas.com/en/attend/imcas-world-congress-2020... Dr Feiner is the only Australian participating in these two complications panels among a field of international panel members, many of whom are acknowledged world authorities in the field of cosmetic practice. https://www.imcas.com//profi/dr-ronald-ian-david-feiner%0A https://www.imcas.com//imcas-world-/program/session/52100 https://www.imcas.com//imcas-world-c/program/session/52062 Dr Feiner expects to bring back some practice pearls to incorporation into our clinic. Wishing all our patients the best in 2020.

02.01.2022 https://www.smh.com.au//plastic-surgeons-forced-to-fix-ris Entrepreneurs have discovered a lucrative affinity with the world of non-invasive cosmetic procedures. Slick avant guard "salons" have been established as chain stores and/or frachises. They are staffed with a team of attractive young therapists. They have indeed succeeded in "re-branding" cosmetic medicine by removing "medicine" from the exercise. Consumers are no longer "patients". They have becone "clients". This of course is very dangerous and has resulted in frequent reports of complications including instances of patient blindness. Hopefully the authorities will act to curb such enterprises in the near future.
01.01.2022 A new "catch-word" has emerged in the world of cosmetic medicine -"TWEAKMENTS"- Well, we have been "tweaking" faces for years, long before the the expression gained popularity. ... The aim is to enhance each patients natural beauty, not to make it unrecognisable. Nearly all our patients come to our clinic through recommendation. For your safety and assurance, our clinic is of a high medical practice standard, not a beauty spa. So our marketing strategy is only modest. This allows us to provide our patients with highly effective treatments at reasonable costs.
01.01.2022 Dear patients, There are indications that with strict conditions applying ( eg: only well patients, one patient only in the waiting room, hand sanitiser and temperature taken on entry, all staff wearing masks etc), we may be in a position to re-open the clinic in early May! Please await further announcements.
01.01.2022 There is a secure formula when assessing patients aesthetic optimal treatment requirements. Firstly there is the consultation. The patient is an individual and we take pride in tailoring treatment to maximise successful outcomes only after we make a full analysis of the patients medical and aesthetic situation. Each week we see patients who have "fled" from other clinics due to poor treatment management and outcomes. Often a crisis has occurred after such clinics have fa...iled to assess the patient as an individual, just plying them with inappropriate treatments. In the end an aesthetic mess has been achieved leaving the patient traumatised. Dr Feiner is the Medical Dean of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery. He is in charge of training doctors in the colleges renowned training program for non invasive and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures. Soon he will be participating an invited panelist at the prestigious IMCAS Congess in Paris.https://www.imcas.com/en/exhibit/imcas-world-congress-2020 See more
