13.01.2022 [PRACTICE TIP #1] engage your core muscles in your yoga practice! Locate these abdominal core muscles by drawing your navel towards your spine. You will feel them automatically switch on when you are on all fours in cat/cow pose (bidalasana), and you actively push the tops of your feet to the floor. Strong core muscles not only make you more stable in your practice, it makes it easier to do everything from swinging a golf club to getting a glass from the top shelf or bendin...g down to tie your shoes. Weak core muscles leave you susceptible to poor posture, lower back pain and muscle injuries. And no, you dont have to do millions of sit ups to build a strong core! 06.01.2022 I went to Dave's class last night at Yoga Hotspot and thought this was really great "Yoga is like a buffet, take from it what you like!" Whether you practice yoga for the physical benefits of strengthening, toning and stretching...or for the meditation, relaxation...or even just to get away from the rat race, there is always something to be had when you go to a yoga class! :)

04.01.2022 We could all incorporate a little savasana everyday! Even if you don't practice yoga, you can do it at bedtime- focus on your breath and with each exhale, relax every part of your body. I do it when I can't sleep and it works wonders...
