14.01.2022 Feldenkrais method. Sheding light on our shadow

13.01.2022 I've been investigating the affects of trauma on the body for over 2 decades through a variety of modalities. Since finding the Feldenkrais method I've been able to assist people to define what is within their ability to change and what they will have to learn to work around. Here's a review from a few years back by a client who's since become a good friend with #multiplesclerosis ... TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN I have had MS since 2004, which mainly affects my legs & feet. In late 2016 I first discovered Feldenkrais and had my first session with LIZ PAGE After that session with Liz, I found there was a significant straightening of my spine, which had been becoming more curved over the past few years. This resulted in restored flexibility in my upper body. That was incentive enough to have more sessions. After the third session with Liz, a recurring problem with an inner thigh muscle - for which I had been having physio monthly for over four years - disappeared. Now occasionally when the muscle tightens recurs, I use a technique taught by Liz for immediate relief. Many things beyond my control affects me due to the MS, but I always feel better after a session with Liz. She is not only an excellent Feldenkrais practitioner, she is also a kind, caring, funny, empathetic person who is a delight to be around. I am so grateful that I met Liz and have experienced the benefits of Feldenkrais. I would sincerely recommend both to everyone. Pat Trevor Buderim. Qld.

12.01.2022 Our time is now! Who's coming?

11.01.2022 Some Great resets that are very aligned with the work of Moshe Feldenkrais. I'd love to hear from you if you have been using these movements or have tried them from this post.

09.01.2022 Maintaining a good mindset can be the hardest thing for people who have lived through traumatic conditions. The Feldenkrais method supports the nervous system to recognize the physical, mental and emotional states created through the triggers that come at us daily. As this relationship between mind and body, thinking and sensing is developed our ability to regulate and regain control of our mindset increases.... Awareness Through Movement classes are a wonderful way to practice building these connections through bringing our awareness to gentle movement patterns. Functional Integration body work sessions are important in gaining access to the unconscious movement patterns which are often the cause of the dis-ease we are experiencing.

08.01.2022 Feldenkrais helps us remember

06.01.2022 Connecting to the Hara , navigating the way there through a relationship with the Pelvic floor.

04.01.2022 'The difference between predictions and outcomes is the key to understanding a strange property of learning: if you’re predicting perfectly, your brain doesn’t need to change further Changes in the brain happen only when there’s a difference between what was expected and what actually happens.'

02.01.2022 My inclusion to this wonderful list of rituals you can take to commune with your unviolated virgin self is to do some Awareness Through Movement lessons. There's no better way I know to truely listen to ourselves If you do not have access to any ATM lessons, message me and I'll send you some x

01.01.2022 In the Pelvic Potency workshops we explore the interconnection of the 3 diaphrams. 1. Pelvic floor 2. Thoracic diaphragm 3. Soft pallet And how they affect our freedom of movement, both physical and psychological.... Here's Bonnie Bainbridge-Cohen with a wonderful explanation of the relationship of the thoracic diaphragm and liver. I'm really excited to share this exploration with a select group of woman.
