22.01.2022 Emotional eatting in high stress situations. There is no doubt our brains have a very strong connection with bad food. What you didnt know is alot of thoughs habbits started during childhood! ... Which explains why they are not so easy to give up. Having unhealthy food given to us when we were good as a reward. As a treat to cheer us up, or even sometimes just because we are bored. Its no wonder that in high stress situations we want to eat something that will mask the pain. But this then leads to larger problems like unhealthy weight gain. Insulin resistance and in some cases diabetes. The first step to controlling this is recognising when we are stressed and to understand do we really want that unhealthy meal or is there more to it? How will we feel afterwards? and be honest, its not going to fix the problem that caused the stress.
18.01.2022 Fasted cardio is it the best way to go? Iv always been a big believer in fasted cardio for fat loss. In my opinion it makes no sense to have a meal feed the body and then do cardio to burn fat. You are now just burning the meal you gave yourself. Get up, get outside, get moving and then get home and eat to break that fast (breakfast)
18.01.2022 What do you train for? For me personally I train because life is hard. Work is hard. Getting out of bed is hard. Cooking and eatting the right foods are hard. I choose to make my life even harder. Lifting weights. Fitting more into my schedule. Working 7 days a week. I do this to try be one step ahead. It dosnt make you bullet proof but what it does do is teach you to keep pushing. When things don't go your way you don't give up you find a way. When the diet stops showing results you dont give up, you just make the adjustments necessary. When you get an injury, you don't just stop training. You rehab and work on something else that needs more attention. You can give up if you want too? But if you dig deep im sure you will find you are much stronger than you ever imagined.
12.01.2022 Bit of a crappy way to wake up this morning after some not so good news but we can't control extrenal forces. Its important we overcome the things that have the ability to stop us in our tracks. Im still gonna mope about like a big baby coz I am human but its get up and get the fasted cardio done because we need to take responsibility for the things in life we do have control of. ... #battletested #holdstrong #HWMF
05.01.2022 Don't judge a book by its cover. Its easy to look at someone and say its easy for them because............ Im not going to go into my long sob story because as much as its a selfie in my pants this is not attention seeking. ... What I will say is are you doing whatever it takes to achieve your goals? Be truly honest with yourself. Are you really working hard enough? Are you getting to work early? Are you the last one to leave? Are you finding time to learn new skills and knowledge? Or are you the person who says I dont have time?
