15.01.2022 On her first day in office, she was excited and exhausted... Women had suffered the most in her country, and, women were the ones to resolve the conflict. She turned to team-work, and though she wanted to put women in all the top positions, she knew that would not work... so she placed them strategically... in ministry of finance, foreign affairs, police and in ministry of gender! She ensured women were represented everywhere.... She names patriarchy as one of the structural barriers for equality. Her goal with others is to creating a wave of women to take on intentional leadership and influence by launching a Centre for Women & Development... I feel so alive and yet serene... calm and peaceful or just blissfully happy when I see it, when I'm in it or when I'm kayaking on it. I'm astounded by it's beauty, its capacity as a holding container for so much life... and it's mirror qualities... ah... I just love being near/with/in/on f...lat water.
