06.01.2022 Taken a couple of years ago on one of Mark Gray's fine art photography tours. A fellow participant, Cookie and I huddled under an umbrella in the freezing cold for an hour or so, waiting, praying for a gap in the rain and the heavy rolling clouds. Even though the sun had been up for an hour or so, it didn't make any real impact until a small gap in the clouds opened up and very briefly flooded the valley with the most amazing light. The pins and needles from squatting under that damned umbrella was worth it.
