25.01.2022 Greetings, As this COVID-19 virus gains traction, it is important that we implement further policies and procedures. Please see the attached documents to see some of the measures we have implemented. As Electricians we are deemed as an essential service, however some Electrical jobs are not crucial to be carried out during this time, e.g., having a light fitting replaced as the old fitting isnt aesthetically pleasing (if the existing light fitting was unsafe, this would be d...eemed as a safety issue and therefore should be repaired/ replaced). Some examples of what we would class as essential electrical work include; Fault finding - loss of power, lighting, etc. Switchboard upgrades installing safety switches, etc. Replacement/ installation of smoke alarms. Replacement of faulty light switches and socket outlets. Installation/ repair or replacement of critical appliances Hot Water Services, ovens, etc. The above list may vary slightly and is purely a guide to what we feel are priority jobs to educate our customers. 24.01.2022 Recently we carried out some data cabling for a customer. Yesterday we returned to carry out some additional LED lighting: 2 x supplied and installed LED downlights to replace an existing bayonet light fitting. 1 x newly supplied and installed LED oyster light connected via a new switch.... 23.01.2022 Recently we attended a job to supply and install a new weatherproof socket outlet for a newly installed instantaneous HWS. Whilst on site we were asked to investigate a fault which was causing the fan to run at only one speed and that they had noticed an unusual smell. Fortunately this was noticed and repaired straight away as this couldve been catastrophic!... During this work we also supplied and installed a new @traderelectricalsupplies big 4 socket outlet to tidy up some existing items and allow our customer to plug-in a baby monitor without having cabling all over the place. 21.01.2022 A customer supplied rangehood changeover and supply and installation of 2 x Brooks Ei3016, photoelectric smoke alarms with 10 year lithium rechargeable battery back ups. The second photo shows the original cabling which was illegal as they had used an earthing conductor for the hardwired interconnection (communication between the two smoke alarms). We installed a new cable to fix this ... PGE228592

19.01.2022 A newly supplied and installed exhaust fan controlled by its own switch. Both other existing switches were also replaced. The white definitely adds a modern look over the original brown. We also supplied and installed a new 10A, double socket outlet where a redundant telephone outlet was below the desk in the office, added a 10A, quad socket outlet at the other end below the desk and replaced a broken lamp holder. 17.01.2022 A great milestone but also a sad day for Fenner Electrical Services. Our apprentice Daniel Martin has completed his apprenticeship! Dan will sadly be leaving us to start a new full-time position as a tradesman. Unfortunately in these hard times we could not offer him a full-time position as our work load is not consistent. 14.01.2022 Recently I decided to play around with some home automation at my own home, incorporating some @melec_aus stitchys to my existing switches and a new @philipshue bridge to work with our existing google home. What can I say, it works awesome! I can control the lights from the switch, my phone/ tablet or by voice command. I can even control my lights when Im not even home! You can set scenes, routines, timers, have them come on or off at set times or as you leave/ return home.... This has to be one of my favourite gadgets at the moment! We dont even need to touch the existing switches any more if we dont want too! PGE228592

Supply and installation of 2 x 10A double socket outlets to replace 2 x existing units that had become faulty.... 06.01.2022 A recent switchboard upgrade carried out in Greenwith. We also supplied and installed slimline socket outlets and relocated some existing TV points. One existing tv point was combined with a socket outlet so this cabling was rerouted down the other side of the internal stud wall and installed on a new slimline plate. PGE 228 592

06.01.2022 Finished result of todays main switchboard upgrade. This switchboard now has a safety switch on each individual circuit, meaning that if a potential fault occurs only the faulty circuit will be affected. This helps a lot as youll still have some power available and will save you on having a technician out to fault find the issue. We also balanced the load so it is now evenly distributed across the 3-phase supply. Previously the Evaporative airconditoner was on the bl...ue phase (the existing safety switch was a recalled item and the cabling supplying this was far too small) and the other circuits were all on the red phase. @fennerelectricalservices - Were here to help! 05.01.2022 A Sub-board upgrade for a unit carried out today in St Agnes. We also installed a new hardwired (lithium) smoke alarm to replace the old existing battery only unit. It amazes me that there are still numerous properties around with no safety switches (electrocution protection) and old ceramic fuses in use. Battery only smoke alarms are better than nothing, but you cant beat a hardwired unit.... Electricity is dangerous and technology has changed.
