14.01.2022 As one chapter ends another one begins and whilst the original roof and air-conditioning units above the Magpies dining room has served us well for near on 30 y...ears we’ve decided that it’s time for an upgrade. Over the next 12 weeks you may notice some construction work taking place at Magpies as we welcome local builders Fergus Builders - Mackay and Air Conditioning specialists Mackay Refrigeration and Airconditioning. The work being undertaken will see: - Replacement of the roof above Centro Restaurant dining room - Replacement of the air-conditioning units that feed the Hub Cafe, Reception and Skys Function Venue - Construction of a new mechanical plant deck - Construction of a permanent roof over the newly renovated deck, replacing the existing shade sails and paving way for the all new furniture. These changes have been a long time coming and will allow our members and their guests to enjoy our facilities rain, hail or shine. Starting with Fergus Builders as a young receptionist way back in July 1999! Lisa's roles and responsibilities have grown, have been ever challenging and changing over the last 21 years. What is it you love about Fergus Lisa? "The company has always been a great family environment with an amazing team of people to work with. Coming to work is a pleasure and at times lots of fun and laughter to be had."
