20.01.2022 Winter is coming...so we cut some firewood. It's nice and green up here after that good lot of rain, and the river is still quite warm.

17.01.2022 Check out the new News page on our website. www.ferndalepark.com.au/news

15.01.2022 G'day folks, The Australian 4 Day Enduro is coming to Dungog in August. This is one of the biggest events in off road motorcycling and a very very good thing. ... https://www.facebook.com/2013a4de Put it on your calendars if you want to see some top notch racing.

14.01.2022 Sorry Campers, we're booked out for the Labour Day Long Weekend So we can't take anymore bookings from 1 Oct 2020 to 6 Oct 2020 Have a great long weekend!

13.01.2022 Howdy campers, I hope you have all had a great weekend. The weather was the best Easter we'd had in years, particularly with that cyclone just before up North! A big thank you to everyone who made the effort to come up. A wonderful time was had by all (with hopefully not too many sore bellies from all the chocolate!). The nights we beautiful and clear with a great view of the heavens (but starting to get a nip in the air). There were still a few intrepid swimmers in the river..., but it too is getting pretty fresh now. Just the thing to wake you up in the morning. Thanks to everyone too for helping us out with the garbage. Not as many dead camp chairs and other junk, which makes life a lot easier. Great to see all the mountain bikes having a crack up the bush too. Mountains are not in short supply! Quite a few people are staying on for the ANZAC long weekend so I hope you all have a wonderful stay. We're hopefully going to get a little rest before the weekend kicks off again. No rest for the wicked though! Cheers.

11.01.2022 NO VACANCY - AUSTRALIA DAY Sorry Campers, we haven't got room for another sausage on the barbecue! Our books are closed from 21 Jan 2021 to 28 Jan 2021... Have a Great Australia Day from Ferndale Park!

10.01.2022 Howdy everyone, One last Ferndale tidbit: we get the odd spot of excitement when thing don't go quite to plan. This dear chap did himself a bit of a mischief by putting his 4WD down over the side of the bank. With haste the rescue tractor was deployed from its hangar (well, shed!) and with a bit of towing, dragging and winching all was well and back on the road with only damage being the drivers pride. Thats Ferndale!

10.01.2022 COVID-19 (Corona Virus) - Ferndale Park NOW CLOSED Our local council made a visit this afternoon, with a directive Brad Hazzard, NSW Minister for Health and Medical Research. Basically, the directive states The repealed Public Health (COVID-19 Places of Social Gathering) Order 2020, requires caravan parks and camping grounds must be closed to the public, immediately. ... Section 10 of the Public Health Act 2010 states if an individual fails to comply, the individual could face fines of up to $11000 and/or 6 months imprisonment. Hence Ferndale Park is CLOSED until further directives from government officials. Please check our website for further updates. To all our customers, stay safe & heed the government warnings.

10.01.2022 G'day Campers, Just a quick update from Ferndale. We've got a great crowd in, pretty busy but every one is having a tops time. The weather is a little chilly but the sun is being very kind to us. A nice change for Easter mud! Here is some handy hints I stumbled across. It is from America but there is some rippers in it!... http://www.buzzfeed.com//camping-hacks-that-are-borderline

09.01.2022 Howdy folks, one of our biggest weekends of the year is approaching! Easter is a great time up here. Just a few general answers to the queries we get: We do not take bookings for camp sites. We fit every one in but basically it is first in best dressed. That's Ferndale!... Easter is very busy. There are lots of people. We make room for every body as best we can, but the craziness is part of the fun. Just be patient with showers and so on. Be mindful of the amount of garbage and waste you generate. These peak periods are a bit of a challenge for us and if you sort your cans and bottles it is a big help. Think about what you pack and minimise the waste left up here. Also, if your camp chair or table breaks, please take it home with you. And don't buy the $9.00 one-it will break. The tarred road is making a big difference with the dust and the mud. But it is not an autobahn so keep the speed down as there are plenty of kids and dogs and walkers about. So have fun and we'll see y'all soon!

04.01.2022 G'day Campers, Well the long weekend is passed and quiet has settled upon the camp ground up here. Just like to thank everyone for a great holiday period and hope you left Ferndale with happy memories to get you through until the next time you are up here. The cooler months are generally quieter up here. Time to tackle those jobs we've been too busy to do. But firstly we're gonna sit down and have a cup of tea and put our feet up!
