07.01.2022 Hi All. With the current situation with Covid-19 (Coronavirus) we thought it an appropriate time to inform everyone of the position Tennis Australia has taken on the running of clubs and coaching activities. Our position at Fernhill Tennis is designed to take care of everything we can to ensure the safety of our members, customers and the population as a whole. All lessons and Our internal junior comp will continue with the following precautions:... --Tapping of racquets will replace shaking of hands in comps. If you or your child are showing any symptoms of a cold or flu please do not come to Tennis. -We encourage everyone to wash/disinfect their hands before and after visiting our club. -We have ordered wipes and disinfectant spray which will be available next Monday. 03.01.2022 Hi all. Amid the developing Covid-19 situation I thought it be a good time to let you all know where we stand with regards to Tennis lessons at Fernhill Tennis. All tennis lessons will continue with a few changes: 1/ All our equipment is being sanitized and wiped down hourly. Likewise tables and chairs.... 2/ Social distancing - Coaches and all players will be kept 2 meters apart at all times. 3/ Hand sanitizer is provided and must be used by all upon arrival and departure. 4/ The clubhouse is now off limits to all except staff. There are too many surfaces and equipment in there to constantly wipe down. 5/ Any student who exhibits any flu like symptoms(cough, runny nose etc.) will be asked to leave the premises. For the safety of all, please do not send your children if they are sick. We realize the need to keep some normality to life in these strange days. That is why we are adopting these measures to insure all can still continue to enjoy their tennis in a safe environment. Thank you for your understanding. We will get through this together. Jamie

02.01.2022 Hi All. Just in from Tennis NSW: Tennis NSW statement to temporarily cease all tennis activity across NSW... 27 March 2020 To the Tennis NSW family; our Members, Clubs, Volunteers and Coaches, Tennis NSW strongly recommends that all tennis activities cease from midnight Friday 27 March 2020 across the state of NSW. With the continued escalation of the COVID-19 crisis and in consultation with the tennis community and the NSW Government, the Board of Tennis NSW resolved today to recommend that all tennis activity cease from midnight Friday 27th March 2020. The recommendation is that: All tennis clubs, venues, academies and centres cease operations until further notice All tennis programmes and coaching be cancelled, including one-on-one coaching, until further notice All club, association and social play be cancelled until further notice All public court hire bookings cease until further notice

02.01.2022 Update to Situation with Covid-19 Hi all. To provide a safe environment for your kids and do our part in controlling the spread of the Covid-19 virus we are going to make some changes to group lessons and Saturday morning competition effective immediately.... 1/ All group lessons are to be broken up into 2 child shared private lessons of a shorter duration. All effected students have been contacted to arrange new times. 2/ If there are 2 lessons running simultaneously (2 coaches): - They will be run on the 2 end courts keeping the middle court empty(for distancing). - Start/Finish times will be staggered to avoid any possible small congregations. 3/ Everyone who walks through the gate must use the hand sanitizer on the way in and on the way out. 4/ Parents, if in attendance, are requested to stay in your cars or sit in the park. 5/ All lessons are being separated by at least 5 minutes gap to allow for disinfecting of equipment etc and allow for greater distancing. 6/ Please do not send your kids onto the premises before your booked time. Wait for the student/s before you to be clear of the club before approaching. Unlike most other activities, we are very fortunate that we have been given a green light to continue so far. Adhering to these guidelines will go a long way to allowing us to continue to provide your children some normality in these crazy times. If your children are available during the day (e.g. - not attending school) please let me know. This will greatly assist me in finding mutually agreeable time slots. Take care and love to all! Jamie
