24.01.2022 Smart Cities - rubbish - how many empty bins must an empty truck empty to no longer be empty? Smart cities can't have dumb business models clogging up our roads. BinShare and SmartBin exist to make the waste industry smarter for the cities of tomorrow.

22.01.2022 Fernlawn is launching BinShare. Go live in February 2016. Creating a waste company that focuses on clients

21.01.2022 Fernlawn, SmartBin and Broadspectrum combine to provide the University of Newcastle with a remote monitoring solution for litter bins across the campus. The solution will decrease bins overflowing and the effort required to service the 100+ bins across the campus.

21.01.2022 Fernlawn are combining SmartBin sensors with motion sensor cameras to give our clients the best possible insight into their waste management operations. Are people stealing your recyclable material, are your bins being emptied and charged to you when they are empty? We conduct waste reviews with a difference - aimed at saving you money in your waste service.

18.01.2022 Happy to be a part of a great project with Serco. http://garbology.com.au/the-largest-correctional-facility-/ #sustainability #zerowaste #CSR #greenprocurement #Serco

17.01.2022 Things are changing in the Australian waste industry! Recent exposure in the media has educated companies of some of the pitfalls that await the unwary. Fernlawn has had a number of large corporate companies engage us for support, almost advocacy, to ensure they are treated fairly. We have been able to renegotiate contracts, check rates and redesign waste systems for businesses. This has significantly decreased cost and increased the sustainability of their operations. Call 1300 246 742 or email [email protected] for help to gain control of your waste costs!

17.01.2022 Fernlawns partner SmartBin have teamed with Cisco in Denmark to provide an integrated platform of Smart City solutions. More than ever we can solve a range of problems facing industry, including decreasing the costs of collections and deliveries. Get in touch! https://lnkd.in/bUg5hqA

13.01.2022 A really good argument for some government support to stimulate the circular economy - perhaps so market forces can then provide the impetus and marketplace. It is to "take, make, dispose". Will we see big business invest in design and logistics to enable a circular economy and reuse?

12.01.2022 What does it say about parts of the waste industry when a company orders SmartBin sensors from us only to be told by the board to return them immediately? Something they are hiding from their clients?

09.01.2022 Our thoughts on the greenwashing that happens in the waste industry. It is getting harder for companies to select a waste company with certainty about what they stand for, and whether they represent a corporate risk. We are here to help! http://garbology.com.au/planet-farked-greenwashing-a-dirty/ #waste #recycling #CircularEconomy #sustainability

05.01.2022 Finish the week on a high by registering at BinCompare. http://ow.ly/JqjP308RN7A In tough times we need to decrease costs, that's what we do

05.01.2022 Fernlawn has combined with Telstra to provide the City of Joondalup with connected bins that changes the way they manage their parks. SmartBin allows the City of Joondalup to monitor the fill levels of each of their bins, saving money on collections by ignoring bins that don't need to be serviced. SmartBin also provides an alert system to email or text the right people when bins are about to overflow. SmartBin decreases the amount of rubbish trucks on the road, making our communities more liveable while reducing the incidence of overflowing bins and litter. The City of Joondalup know that spending ratepayers money on emptying empty bins isn't a great investment and they have made a big step in reducing the running costs of their waste needs.

02.01.2022 Fernlawn Environmental are thrilled to have worked with Lion Group to provide a review of their waste management at their dairy processing plant in Penrith. As a new set of eyes on site we were able to save Lion significant expense in the future. We identified a general waste compactor system that was costing far too much and creating too much landfill. Also, by reviewing the waste contract and invoices we ensured our client was getting a fair rebate for their bulk cardbo...ard which will now help to offset the cost of other waste services. A good result that reiterates that waste costs have been ignored by business for too long and it is an area where businesses can easily improve the the bottom line. Decreasing waste to landfill does not need to cost more, get in touch with us to discuss improving your sustainability and bottom line today. See more

01.01.2022 A few words that express my gratitude to the board of Eighteen04 for creating an environment that I really enjoy
