Thank you all for your support of our cafe with your custom and understanding for our strict covid safe stance which was vindicated with a recent covid safe check that we passed and also when we had close to home covid challenges throughout the year . We have a small staff and limited space and maintaining our s...taff and customers safety has been paramount and extremely challenging at the same time . Due to our limited inside space we particularly appreciate your support and understanding for our limited time constraints for customers for inside dining .We would also like to thank federal and state government support during the covid crisis . There is no inside dining and we are continuing with our take away items and local food staples such as bread , milk , cheeses and eggs . Things have changed a bit like a focus on good quality and efficient take away service and essential bookings for dine in and we thank you again for your support . Our sales of local produce are being well supported to and Hunter Belle dairy and Lake Mac eggs who supply us are reporting incredible support right across the hunter valley

It seems to be quite an organised operation but the offenders did not realise that there are a number of cameras in the area that captured this heinous act and that we have a strong and observant community . If you live in the area and you have security cameras we would appreciate it if you could check your footage from last night to help nail the offenders . We already have an excellent lead from our close knit cafe communi...ty . Apparently criminal activity has been pretty quiet in the hunter area for a few months but there has been a serious uptick since the new year . Make sure your cars in particular are locked . There isn’t a crime wave in Adamstown , this was a planned and targeted event . We do open on other nights besides Friday nights and this wed we are opening for a small group and have another 4 seats available . With the winding back of restrictions if you would like to eat in during the day bookings are essential too please call us 40234749 . The rules and our limited indoor space mean that we can only have a limited number of staff an...d patrons . People are enjoying our grab and go menu from the deli bar and quick turn around . We have just ordered a uvc air scrubber which kills airborne bacteria and viruses and also have a new Aussie cleaning product Zoono ( watch their share price it’s going ballistic ) we have also registered with Nsw health as covid safe . For the time being we have suspended fri tapas night and dining in the cafe... . We have increased our range of goodies ( including our local staples such as bread, vos sourdough , hunter belle milk and cheeses , lake Mac eggs and east coast juice from mangrove mtn . We have streamlined our take away service and you are welcome to consume take aways in our shed . Our take away containers are all recyclable and we use simply cups ( featured in the chasers war on waste ) where the purchase of every cup is going towards a new coffee cup recycling and manufacturing plant in Australia . 01.01.2022 Hi everyone . We are trying to be as proactive as possible to keep customers and staff safe . Our signs that are prominently placed at the front door and in the cafe are updated daily and there are changes as we receive health directives ( we are registered covid safe ) . We understand that there is continued mixed messaging from authorities and different venues have different conditions of entry . It is a condition of entry to the fernleigh cafe that customers read the sign ...and all customers who enter the cafe must leave contact details . Please do not brush past the sign as many people have done before we closed back in March and since we reopened in April it is essential that customers read it and follow the directives once they have entered our cafe . Please bear with us , our head chef and manager had a serious accident at home last week and another of our chefs is away on a well earned holiday , we have some new or seldom seen staff who have stepped up in his absence , this and the implementation of covid safe prActices to customers who do not read or follow directives and some of the abuse and insults that we are getting for being too heavy handed is time consuming and exhausting.
