24.01.2022 Dental month has arrived! We have exciting offers for the Months of August & September. 20% off Dental Procedures & $20 off Hills t/d Dental Care diets (offer valid while stocks last). Please call the Clinic on 9758 4055 for more information.

23.01.2022 Meet Baxter, he is 8 months old now and 29.5kg. He recently visited the Clinic for his booster Proheart injection. His owner is always being asked when they are out on a walk what breed he is, so while at the Clinic he enquired about a breed DNA test. We were able to accomodate this request and a blood sample has been sent off to America, it’ll take around a month to have the results sent to us and we can’t wait see what breeds make Baxter the gorgeous dog he is. What breed do you think he is?

22.01.2022 Happy Vet Nurse Day! I would like to extend a HUGE thank you to all our wonderful Vet Nurses, who do so much for our beloved pets. From answering enquires, to monitoring surgeries, recovering patients and discharging them. They do so much behind the scenes that goes unnoticed, but we want them to know they are extremely valued and very much appreciated!

21.01.2022 Bee aware(ness). With the increase in temperature, comes an increase in insect activity. Amongst the usual suspects (fleas & mosquitos) there are bees and wasps, which apart from causing pain if our pet sticks their nose into garden beds where a Bee is happily buzzing, they can cause swellings. The swelling can range from mild to severe, where breathing is compromised. If your pet gets stung and there's swelling involved it's best to call 9758 4055 for an appointment for your pet to be seen by one of ours friendly Vets. We have seen 2 bee stings in the past few days, one being one of our Vet Nurses, poor Tinks!. Here are some before & after photo's.

21.01.2022 Meet Bo, Bo came in for his puppy vaccination and Pro Heart injection. He was a bit shy at first but with lots of TLC and liver treats (mostly liver treats) he was very good for Vet Dr Melisabeth and Nurse Amy and left a happy boy with a full tummy! What a good boy!

20.01.2022 The results are in! Who guessed correctly? Baxter is a mix of German Short hair pointer, Bull Terrier, Bull Mastiff, Scottish Deerhound cross, crossed with Boxer, American Staffy and Greyhound mix. Wow! To his owners he is just a very handsome boy!

18.01.2022 We would like to welcome our newest Vet Dr Shalini Sinnan, we are very happy that she has joined our Team. Shalini graduated from Murdoch University in Perth in 2010. Over the past 10 years, she has worked and volunteered all over Australia, as well as the UK, Fiji and Malaysia. Shalini has a wide range of interests, including behaviour medicine, oncology, internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. Her interests outside work are travel (53 Countries and counting!), learning new languages and hanging out with her 3-legged rescue cat Panda.

15.01.2022 Breakfast in bed, wishing all the dads out there a very Happy Fathers Day.

10.01.2022 Erinn had her last shift this week, we would like to wish Erinn farewell and all the best with her new full time job. You will be missed. xx

07.01.2022 Covid-19 policy update In line with new government regulations requiring mandatory wearing of masks in public effective from midnight tonight, from opening of business tomorrow morning (Thursday the 23rd of July) we will require that all clients attending the clinic wear a mask or appropriate face covering. Unfortunately we will be unable to assist you if your face is not covered. Please come prepared with your own mask, as unfortunately we do not have enough to supply ...these to all people attending the clinic. Until further notice we will also be continuing with contactless appointments. Please phone the clinic on (03) 9758 4055 when you arrive. One of our team members will then take your pet through to be assessed by one of our vets and the vet will communicate to you over the phone. Please call 24 hours ahead for medication and food pickups. A mask will also be required when you attend to pick these up. Payments are to be made ideally over the phone or via EFTPOS to avoid people entering the clinic unnecessarily. Thank you for your understanding during these difficult times.

04.01.2022 Meet Honey and her little photogenic friend. Honey was very brave when she came in for her vaccination yesterday, she brought in her sealy friend to keep her company.

02.01.2022 Our computers are down. We have no access to our calendar and unfortunately because of this, we have no idea who is booked in today. If you have an appointment today can you please email us at [email protected] with what time your appointment is and the reason your pet is coming in for a consult. That way we can try and schedule appointments where we have vacancies. Our IT department is currently working on the issue and we appreciate your patience while we work to get this resolved. FTG Vets.
