08.01.2022 LOCAL FIRE BAN EXTENDED SOUTH EASTERN REGION Due to heightened fire conditions, a local fire ban has been extended for the following local government are...as: Logan Scenic Rim Ipswich Lockyer Valley Somerset Gold Coast The ban will remain in place until 11.59pm Monday (7/12). Under a local fire ban, all open fires are prohibited (subject to exemptions) and all Permits to Light Fire which have been issued in the designated areas have been cancelled. In a space of 24 hours crews have attended 3 seperate Road Traffic Crashes that people have all required hospital treatment for serious injuries and sadly a gentleman has passed. Some of these could have been prevented.... It takes a toll on many people who witness these events. It takes a toll on the people who you crash into. It will take a toll on your wallet.
