25.01.2022 Now I am a firm believer in that there is no one net on the market that is perfect for all situations. Went out yesterday and i took out a long net, purse nets and mesh tube nets. Part of the area I ferreted was infested with stinging nettles with a lot of fallen tree branches. Now I hate with a passion stringing nettles, these were about 2ft or 600mm high. Had to clear them away from the holes as best that I could with a shovel. So the long net was out of the question, I used tube nets, great for those mongrel spots and used purse nets for the rest. This to me just lighted the need to have a variety of types of nets for use. Ended up with 5 big and 4 small kits that would not have been caught in a purse net.

25.01.2022 Well our order of long nets, purse nets and net making materials has arrived. So at the moment we have plenty of 25yd, and 50yd long nets all with baskets and 4ft purse nets available. 24.01.2022 A quick run to try out a new property

24.01.2022 Well yesterday Les Nelson informed me that all of my current order from Nelson's Netting Loft has at last been picked up by the carrier. He has been working tirelessly for weeks dealing with so many issues caused by this Coronavirus, plus other hurdles to get over. From fewer carriers prepared to ship to Australia to the past carrier we used increasing their freight charges by 40%. The carrier has sent me notifications of the tracking number and the relevant documentation.... So now we only have to deal with the Australian Border import charges and then everyone can have the netting they require. The long wait will be over very soon and I thank you all for your assistance and patience in this adventure of ours. Cheers Peter and Leanne Taylor

23.01.2022 Our new order of Ferret Finders has arrived, so if you are tired of digging holes then think about getting one of these.

23.01.2022 Went out again today despite the threat of rain, got 12 but was held up twice, the first time was a kill. Using the Ferret Finder dug down approx one metre busted through to the tunnel straight onto a ferrets nose. Got her out then reached in and retrieved a dead rabbit. The second time dug down approx 700mm broke through straight onto a rabbit pulled it out alive, then there was another boxed in there pulled it out alive as well, then out came the ferret. It was a dead end tunnel and the ferret had the two rabbits boxed in. There would have been no way this ferret would have walked away from them. Instead I was able to solve the problem quickly and continue on ferreting.

23.01.2022 Just finished a 4 division cagefor a customer, this time I split the sleeping boxes up. Leaving a wide gap to discourage any pests from residing there. Also made the lids wider so water will drop clean away. Cheers Peter

19.01.2022 How many times have you gone to put a purse net on a burrow only to find that the peg has come off. This is what I have come up with, some you can make your own pegs. But others don't have access to the materials or equipment to make them themselves. Some just want to buy the nets and go ferreting. The pegs are approx 130mm in lenght , a slight point on the tip. The eyelet is welded, so that the draw cord can not come away the peg.

15.01.2022 There are a lot of people now aware that Deben have ceased making Ferret Finders and are not planning to manufacture them in the future. They will continue to do warranty claims and conduct repairs on them. I have been fortunate to be able to aquire 15 sets ( a finder plus ONE collar) . After this stock is gone I will not be able to aquire anymore. So if you are thinking of getting one , and saving you time and digging these will not be available for very long. ... 13.01.2022 Due to our supplier in England being placed in precautionary self isolation due to coming into contact with a person showing possible symptoms, our new order of long nets well be delayed . In the meantime we still have on hand plenty of purse nets , net making materials ( for those quite self isolation times) , and carry boxes ( so you can self isolate) if you need anything. 11.01.2022 FERRET FINDER'S Well they have finally arrived and are now an extension of our range of products. If you have ever been held up with your ferret or terrier stuck down a hole, this is what you need. They save you time, and effort as you only have to dig ONE hole not a trench. Also you get your ferret/terrier back , you don't have to go back the next day and causes only minimal delay to your days hunting. So if you are sick of digging you need one of these.

09.01.2022 Hello Everyone Deben has informed us that they have ceased production of the Ferret Finder and have no stock available anymore . This has been sudden and difficult news to receive. I was informed earlier this year that they would be still manufacturing them for the next 12 to 18 months. So this news comes as a surprise to us, they will still be honouring warranty claims and conducting repairs. We have been working extremely hard trying to source more stock. At the moment w...e are in very positive talks with a company that has a large number of units on hand. So I am hopeful that we will be able to aquire more stock within the next few weeks, and hopefully still be able to offer them to you at a very affordable price. Please have faith in us that we are doing our utmost to still provide the best service and equipment possible. We are also in talks with a company that is possibly going to manufacture an alternative unit. So these are stressful but also exciting time and we are looking forward to a positive future with sourcing more quality products to be able to offer you. We will keep you informed and updated. Also our new shipment of long nets is due to arrive next week for those who have ordered and those who are looking for a set. Regards Peter and Leanne

07.01.2022 Just finished a new ferret cage for a customer, I am really happy with the way it came together. As per usual I have made changes as I went along to try and improve the design even further . Any comments would be appreciated, cheers Peter

06.01.2022 With a ferret finder you can dig straight down to where your ferret is having a problem/stuck/or had a kill. It saves you so much time and stress. Today out ferreting the ferret was down for a fair amount of time with nothing happening. I used the finder to monitor if she was moving which she wasn't. So our came the shovel and I dug one hole, struck the hole and straight away a nose came out. Retrieved my ferret then put my hand down the hole and pulled out a dead rabbit. All over and I could move on to the next burrow.
