15.01.2022 One of our members Elaine Foulsham is having an exhibition at The Art Passage until 27th June 1/206 Box Rd Miranda/ Sylvania, "This show is a collection of coastal works, devoid of human representation and inspired by the isolation COVID-19 has imposed upon us. My work is a call for humanity to recognise the vast and dramatic natural world of which we, albeit small and insignificant, are the curators. If we ever needed a reminder of nature’s all-encompassing power, it’s now ...after lockdown. I am a Sydney-based artist and believe there is a call for us to recognise the diverse natural world which we persistently attempt to curate. I paint with acrylic or mixed media and attempt to focus on the energy transferred between nature and ourselves. The undulating coastal areas are translated with awe and sincerity onto my canvases which I paint intuitively from my garden studio." - Elaine Foulsham, Artist. Elaine also has some lovely pieces to buy here at the Ferry Artists
