07.01.2022 The Festivale Committee is working with Government and looking at the current COVID restrictions as we make some decisions about Festivale 2021. We will have another update for you soon and really appreciate your patience as we work through this process.
06.01.2022 It is with much disappointment that we announce that Festivale 2021 will not proceed in the format or venue that has been so well accepted and embraced for many years. Due to the unprecedented uncertainty caused by COVID-19, the ongoing restrictions for public gatherings, health concerns and travel, The Launceston Festivale committee have exhausted all options to move ahead as originally hoped. This decision has not been made lightly and after consultation with The Dept of Pu...blic Health, Government and our sponsors, our focus must remain on the health and wellbeing of the public as well as the ongoing sustainability of Festivale. We find ourselves very fortunate to have been able to hold our 2020 event as many of our festival friends were not so lucky. So whilst Festivale 2021 will not be held, the organising committee, together with the Dept of State Growth (Events Tasmania division), are exploring options to bring you an alternate event on the same weekend as Festivale 2021 was to be held that will be smaller and adhere to current health guidelines. We will continue to keep you updated as we plan for 2021 and hope you will support our alternate event, in its one-off location and format. We also look forward to seeing you all for an EPIC Festivale in 2022! The Launceston Festivale Committee
