25.01.2022 You can only 'tread water' for so long. You have to accept it's more efficient to.... BUILD A BOAT. ... Building a boat may initially take more effort, more money, more support and more focus. Yet you'll get to a place where you never have to 'tread water' again. It's easy to tell yourself it's ok to 'tread water'. Saying things like: I can do it myself! Why should I pay anyone for help? So you go on 'treading water' for many many years... When really you're only getting closer to drowning. Get support, and build that fucking boat.

24.01.2022 Yeah cool, go check out that gym. Then enquire about that bootcamp. Then ask about the best membership deal at the other gym because your ‘friend’ goes there.... Oh yup, then see how much PT sessions are before you do anything else. Can’t forget, you must find a gym that has child minding. Delay. Delay. Delay. Procrastinate some more. Put it off till next year. Then become more unhappy with your lack of progress and frustrated you didn’t do something sooner. I’ve seen this countless times. The biggest thing that holds people back from their goals is lack of implementation. Thinking they need all the bells and whistles, and ALL the information when really... they’re just putting it off some more. Maybe my coaching won’t work for you at first Perhaps things will need to be tweaked and adjusted That’s life. The same thing can happen if you join literally ANY program in the world. But how the fuck will you know if you keep putting shit off? That said, I guarantee there are far less obstacles and barriers to my online coaching which makes for RESULTS with my clients. Speed of implementation = quick wins. Quick wins = better adherence. Most of my clients get into things immediately after talking to me. They’re so pumped after chatting, they go do a workout. Then they FEEL awesome! They tidy up their shopping list and feel like Superwoman for not buying all the chocolate. They feel amazing for doing something for themselves. Before you know it, a few weeks have gone by: - They have more energy to run rings around their kids. - They’re getting compliments from their partner. - They’re making shit happen! You don’t need to wait for a certain time where the stars align, and everything is going your way. Because it never will. And I’ll ask, are you really waiting? Or just making excuses because you’re afraid of doing the work?

22.01.2022 Whether you think you can, or you think you can't. You'll always be right. Which side will you choose to be on?

19.01.2022 A lot of people spend their time reading ‘motivational’ shit online because it makes them feel good for about 10 seconds. Here’s something that’s at more powerful than reading motivational quotes, and is proven when it comes to getting results. It is...... The power of association. You may or may not know about it - this is the ability to become like those you associate with. Birds of a feather, flock together - is another way to put it. For example, if you struggle to make your health and fitness goals a reality (lose weight, drop body fat, feel more confident) And you’re surrounded by people that don’t care about achieving such goals... it’s very easy to get dragged down by them and stay stuck. BUT if you're part of a group that are invested in achieving their goals, and they’re dropping unwanted kilos and inches harder than a nasty ex. You become like those in the group. Seeing other people achieve what you want to achieve AND having their support is the highest form of motivation you will ever find. Remember, you become who you associate yourself with. Who do you surround yourself with?

19.01.2022 You can’t do it all. Nobody can. This thing call ‘life’ is constantly changing. On top of this, as we get older we become more to those around us. ... We take on more responsibility. With all this, we realise that doing ‘life’ as well as all the things we know we should be doing to stay healthy... Is fucking hard. That’s why, you can’t do it all. Hence why: Having a coach to stay accountable to. Someone that takes the guess work out of your health and fitness journey. Following a plan set out for you... Is invaluable. You’re already busy enough with life. Get the help you need when it comes to your health and fitness goals.

18.01.2022 Going to any fun social events over the weekend? Beware of the 'Weekend Warrior' nutrition experts. You know, the kind that give you advice you don't want or need ... I can think of countless real life examples from when I've been at social events with my wife... and the dessert comes out. Then there’s sneaky eyes on me, to see if the 'fitness guy' will touch the cake. Fuck yeah I will. What, you think I don't enjoy cake as much as you or the next person? I was a chubby kid once, cake is life. Anywho. Upon eating the cake, I'm ready... ready for the same cliche comments I've heard countless times... "You're not allowed to eat THAT are you?" Looks like you’ll be working that off tomorrow! Then comes, "Better be careful, you won't look that way much longer if you keep going like that!" Followed by an awkward elbow nudge and a chuckle Me: *Smile and keep eating the dessert* It comes down to one of the most overlooked and simple principles of nutrition - everything in moderation. Can you expect to eat cake all day, everyday and still achieve your goals? Of course not. Can you enjoy a dessert from time to time and still achieve your goals? Absolutely. Examples of other common advice given by 'armchair experts' and 'weekend warrior' nutritionists include: "Should you be eating THAT??" "Your calories are way too low!" "Avoid x food, it goes straight to your thighs!" What other awesome advice have you gotten from an armchair expert? Comment below, I'd love to know. Does any of this sound familiar: "X food will help you lose weight like crazy" You should do this diet! My mate's, mailman's, wife's, second cousin's ex girlfriend, Sally lost 50 kilos doing it!"

17.01.2022 Some are wasting this time in isolation, and others using this time to focus on their health and fitness goals. Focusing on your health and moving your body is such a great way to get yourself in a positive headspace during this time

16.01.2022 Who matters most to you? We will do more for others, than we will for ourselves. This is a little bit sad, however you can use this to your advantage! ... For example if your goal is to get in shape, and you're struggling to find the motivation to do it for yourself... Think of those who matter most to you - do it for them! You might want to do it for your kids and have more energy to play with them. You might want to do it for your partner and have more confidence in the bedroom. See how these two reasons above are a lot more motivating than simply saying, I wanna lose a bit of weight.

16.01.2022 But I don’t look like her. If you focus on what you don’t have, you’ll never be happy. If you compare yourself to someone else... it’s a surefire way to feel like shit most of the time.... If you focus on - and show gratitude for - what you do have, watch as things change for the better. A lot of Mums I coach come to me struggling with thoughts like: But I’m not ‘there’ yet. I don’t look like ‘that’ yet. I’m not where I want to be. I’m not a size (x) yet. But I haven’t achieved (insert goal) yet. It’s ok to want to get to your goals. In fact, I encourage it. BUT! You must acknowledge all the wonderful things we HAVE achieved. Trust me, you’ve come further than you think. In our programs, we have a code. Part of that code is our 1% rule: Aim to be just 1% better than yesterday. Do this over time, and holy fuck... it compounds into big wins. So stop, pinch yourself and reflect on all the wonderful things you HAVE achieved. Mums, if you struggle to do this, and/or your frustrated with a lack of results lately... I’ve got something for you to finish the year with a bang If you’re tired of beating yourself up and having a negative relationship with your transformation journey... If you feel like you’ve tried everything out there with little to no results... If you want to improve your mindset and confidence... And you want to believe that getting to your transformational goals IS POSSIBLE... I'm launching a brand new 30 Day Mindful Mums Challenge. This is specifically for Mums who want to transform... but are currently held back by their mindset. Inside the 30 day challenge, we will overcome the mental blocks and self-limiting beliefs that are holding you back from your goals. Oh and you will lose some weight and gain more energy along the way too. Want more info? Comment 'yes' below. Or send me a message for the information We kick off Monday, November 2nd. PS. Feel free to share and tag your fellow Mum friends.

15.01.2022 When it comes to staying on track with your goals - even whilst injured - there are a few things to keep in mind. 1. You can still make progress. You should never stop! Too many people think when they’re injured they can’t keep chasing their goals. You can definitely stay on track! Even if training is completely off the cards, think of things like your nutrition and water intake.... 2. When you’re able to get back into activities that require the use of your injured body part/s - manage your expectations. Do not expect to perform at the same level you were at prior to the injury. This is just going to lead you to get frustrated and deflated. 3. Celebrate any success with your progress. As you can see by my running times, whilst they’re nothing special to a lot of people, I can see the improvement. This has motivated me to keep going. And any success or improvements you see on your journey will too. #injury #injuryrecovery #running #progress #motivation #inspiration #fitness #fun #cardio #rhysjpt

14.01.2022 Does your environment serve you? If you are surrounded by people who tell you that you "can't" do something... Or they agree with you when you say stuff like:... "I'll never be able to achieve (insert desired results here)" "It's just too hard. "They only achieved those results because they’re lucky!’ "I'm just someone who will always be this way. If you keep focusing on the 'sob story', and you surround yourself with people who do the same... Is anything going to change? Always be careful of what you tell yourself AND the people around you. Your environment could be the only thing standing in the way of your goals.

12.01.2022 Pssst.. trying to lose weight?? GUESS WHAT? Despite what the friends in your newsfeed selling quick fix weight loss solutions are telling you... Losing weight, achieving your goals and maintaining your hard work isn't as simple as taking a pill, shake, wrap or [insert next miracle cure here].... If it really were this easy, then we would see everyone in amazing shape. It is tough. It takes hard work. It requires effort and consistency. There will be days you struggle. You will experience frustrations quite often. Accept it and don't buy into the "easy way. It doesn't exist. If you accept this and persevere, you will learn more about you and your body than what taking a pill or any other quick fix can EVER teach you. But if you don't accept it, you won't learn about what it takes to persevere and you won't learn anything about you and your body. After all, what does looking for shortcuts and quick fixes actually teach you?

09.01.2022 Act as if. Act as if you’re already at your goals, or the next milestone you want to achieve. How does that version of you live?... What nutritional habits support that version of you? What training habits support that version of you? A great friend of mind told me an incredible saying that will stick with me forever: In order for the fat man to become skinny, he can no longer think or act like the fat man. He must think and act like the skinny man.

09.01.2022 I just want to lose some weight... BULLSHIT. The Mums and women I coach come to me believing they "just want to lose some weight." But after a little digging...... THE TRUTH drops like a bomb. And deeper reasons WHY you REALLY want to transform come to the surface. I've got an epic series of LIVE video trainings where I'm going to cover... THE REAL REASONS YOU WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT. I'm passionate about your transformation journey. Moving your body, improving nutrition habits and working on your mindset are amazing for the physical results that come with it... BUT often it's the other changes that are more rewarding than the weight loss, feeling fitter and more toned. It's things like: - Escaping a toxic relationship. - Staying strong when things get tough. - Improved self esteem. - Feeling more confident. - Reigniting your sex life. - Going for THAT job. - Taking the leap and choosing a new career. - Walking taller. - Feeling powerful. THESE THINGS ^^ are fuck loads more inspiring than: "I just want to lose some weight." Starting TODAY, and each day this week in our free group: Rapid Transformation Community... I'm going to do some LIVE and exclusive trainings on all things MINDSET when it comes to your transformation journey. Think of it as a free pop-up mindset challenge. I challenge you to come along, watch and see if you can shed more light on two things: 1. What's stopped you from reaching your goals in the past. Hint - it has NOTHING to do with diet or exercise. 2. WHY you really want to transform. ... and much more. For now, we have a very important conversation going on in the group which kicked off today Want in? The link to our Rapid Transformation Community is in the comments PS. Feel free to share and tag any fellow Mums and women you feel would like to be part of this

09.01.2022 "I fear that I am not good enough to do this. I fear that even though I might change my weight and become stronger and fitter that somehow I am not really worth that. It's like I am doomed to stay the same. ... I have never really thought about this before and I didn't realise I had this fear. It actually feels good to get it out!" -- A note from a Mum who I helped identify the fears and limiting beliefs that were stopping her from transforming. Can you relate? Do you feel like you're not worthy of the results you crave? Are you sick of feeling unworthy? Would you like to get rid of this mental block that holds you back from your transformational goals? I have a brand new program starting soon! This is specifically for Mums who want to transform... but are currently held back by limiting beliefs and mental blocks. Inside the 30 day program, we will overcome the mental blocks and self-limiting beliefs that are holding you back from your goals. Oh and you will lose some weight and gain more energy along the way too. I'll announce the official date for this on Sunday evening, but for now... if that sounds like something you're interested in: Put a emoji in the comments. OR you can message me for the information

09.01.2022 It's Monday, and you thought that THIS week was going to be your week. You wanted today to be the Monday you always dreamt about - the one where you DO the things you've been telling yourself you're gonna do. Maybe you're getting back on the horse when it comes to your fitness goals.... Maybe you want to be organised and get shit done. But... like most Mondays, you realised that either: A: You were busier than your anticipated. B: You simply did not get shit done. Guess what? That's ok. Monday is only 14.3% of your week. Meaning - you still have 85.7% of your week to go! That's a LOT of opportunity to make things happen. To get back on track for tomorrow, you need to set yourself up for success NOW. A great way to do this: Take a few minutes to write down everything you accomplished, or the things you're most proud of from the past week. This will allow you to start your day tomorrow with a great sense of confidence. On your journey to your goals, it's easy to look at what you did NOT do. Focusing on these things isn't good for your self confidence. If you're serious about making tomorrow your bitch, then take a moment to write down the positive things you DID achieve last week - no matter how big or small. Have an awesome evening

09.01.2022 Fear. We've all felt it. We've all been there. Stuck in analysis paralysis. Overthinking things and - not taking action because we're scared of what might happen. Here's how to eliminate fear:... When it comes to banishing fear we need to make the unknown, known. You see, most people don't go hard chasing their fitness goals because they're scared. "What if it doesn't work?" "I could sweat my ass off... for very little progress!" "What will my friends think of me?" "What will people say about me?" "I don't want people to think I'm one of those annoying fitness people posting on social media!" Can you relate to any of these fears around your fitness journey?? I'm not going to tell you not to worry about what people may think. That's dismissive and arrogant. The truth is - people will judge you. It's human nature. You do it, I do it, we all do. Be it conscious or unconscious, every time we look at someone else in person or online... We're judging. You're probably thinking: "I don't want people to judge me and think negative of me!" What if I told you there are two sides to judgement: Negative and POSITIVE. Look, we have ZERO control of what other people may think of us. If people aren't going to support you or encourage you - why should they get a say in what you do on your journey or with your life? Some people my judge in a negative light (which says more about THEM and THEIR insecurities) BUT - and this is a BIIIIG BUT. You will also be inspiring people. They will judge you positively. I guarantee it. Have you ever caught yourself saying or thinking: "Wow, she looks great - maybe I should do that too!" "If she can do it, then I can too!" "Today I'll go for a walk, because they did!" "She has so much more energy, I want that too!" While someone else could have been the source of positive inspiration for you... You, yes YOU, can be the source of positive inspiration for someone else. Now that you know that, how do you feel about your fitness journey?

09.01.2022 When was the last time you checked in on your self-talk? Chances are, you talk to yourself in ways you would never allow anyone else to. You... Doubt yourself.... Criticise yourself. Call yourself nasty names. Beat yourself up over things you can no longer control. Your self-talk impacts how you feel. How you feel influences your actions and behaviour. So it makes sense if your self-talk is negative, that’s going to lead to negative actions and sabotaging behaviour. The first step to changing this is being aware. So, what’s the self-talk like in your own head at the moment??

08.01.2022 Dig deeper than your surface level bullshit. I don’t REALLY need to lose that much. I just wanna get a BIT fitter. ... Things aren’t that bad. It can wait till next year. I’ve got better things to worry about. Unless you dive deep into why you need to change... You’ll keep talking yourself out of it. Sick of looking in the mirror and feeling like who you see isn’t even you? Sick of covering up while the kids beg you to swim with them? Sick of dreading date nights with your partner because you have no idea what you’ll wear? Sick of feeling like your relationship isfalling apart because your sex life is... wait, what sex life? Can you relate to any of these examples? This ^^^ is the real shit. Dig deep and go there. Because that’s the sort of stuff that will drive action.

06.01.2022 You can and you will

04.01.2022 11kg GONE Busy Mum. Makes the time. Gets it done.... Focuses on the little positive daily habits. Want to learn to do the same so you can get these kind of results? I’m opening registration for my June intake. Drop an emoji in the comments and I’ll message you with the info

03.01.2022 No, you may not join my group to spam myself and others with your 'amazing' juices, cleanses and pills. And no, I do not wish to be part of your incredible 'ground level' opportunity If you haven't figured out already, I'm all about what actually works to deliver results. Education, empowerment, hard work and patience. ... What exactly do you learn by taking [insert quick fix here] ??

03.01.2022 One of the most important bits of advice I can give you when it comes to achieving your goals consistency. Most of you interested in achieving your goals won't care enough to keep reading... because this post isn't a quick fix that will get you to you abs overnight. Those that keep reading will be better armed against the highs and lows of their journey, and can hopefully stop ‘yo-yo-ing’ with the whole process.... I can't tell you how often I see people get excited about some fast initial progress. Who isn't excited by that? For example, you lose 2-5kgs in a week, get down a size in clothing. Amazing! You've probably been there. You think you've finally found what will work for you, and get you to where you want to be. Then 3 days into week 2 you gain back a kilo, have a meltdown and give up. ^^ This is not the definition of consistency by the way. It's also probably what you do. One of the best bits of advice I can give you when it comes to getting to your goals is: Don't get too carried away with the wins and certainly don't let the lows get you down. You have to stay consistent and trust in the process. If you track your progress (and not just your scale weight) you'll know that getting in shape is hardly ever linear. You'll have fast drops, slow drops, plateaus and increases regularly. As long as the overall trend is down or heading towards the end goal, you'll be fine. But getting overly emotional either way will only ever lead to you never being in control of your body.

02.01.2022 Very cool fact: Pound for pound, your bones are 4x stronger than concrete. Keep your bones healthy and strong by continuing to do weight-bearing exercises

02.01.2022 Your problems aren't special. Most people like to believe that their 'problems' are unique... like there's no way that, out of 7 billion people, anyone else could have experienced the same thing. It's fair to say there's nothing unique about your circumstance at all.... "But I don't have time." "I just struggle to eat well." "I don't like doing exercise." "But I'm a single Mum." "But my situation is different..." Whatever your struggles or problems... I can guarantee someone else has had them too - and this is a good thing. Because if someone else can work through the same obstacles to achieve their goals, it means you can too.

02.01.2022 One of the key fundamental of success when it comes to your health and fitness goals and any part of your life: Discipline. It isn’t overly sexy or appealing to talk about. ... Nobody likes being told that they need to practice discipline and take responsibility for their actions. Instead we like being told how things like: Eat all the chocolate you like and still have abs! If you have a goal and you practice discipline, I promise you will achieve your goals for the long term.
