10.01.2022 Mitchell EEC long daycare is very excited to announce that we now have a banana juice stand located at the front door of our centre! Our banana juice is used... to fertilise gardens without harming the environment. Feel free to come and collect our very special banana juice free of charge, that is a gift from our centre to the community. (Please return the bottles so we can continue to make our special banana juice). The educators and children have been very busy the past couple of weeks collecting resources to create this amazing sustainability project! During this activity the children are learning about the benefits and process of making the banana juice. The banana juice has been hand made by the long daycare children with banana peels that have been kept from our morning tea. We can’t wait to see our juice being used around our community! While you are here have a break in our courtyard and meet our very obedient animals that live in our garden. Step back in time in our local History Museum and check out our latest exhibition on our Shire Gallery. Next door to the VIC learn of the Quilpie Shire's incredible Military History in our Military Museum or our long history will the rail in the Rail Museum. We are also booking agents for National Parks so make sure you book your permits with us before you travel. For all those weary travellers help yourself to a cuppa and a snack at our #driverreviver stand.
