Property magnate Dave Bodkin & Friendly Grocer Bruce Paulsen timed their run beautifully to clinch victory on the very last hole of this prestigious event. Damien McNair and Brendan Horsten played impeccable golf on the front nine (1 under) but haemorrhaged badly over the closing holes. Damien’s drive on No 12B will be long remembered as he made a mockery of the Par4 with a massive drive which finished just 2.76 metres from the pin. Club champ Al McNall teamed up with our local macropod harvester Mick Crack and together they were hoping to shoot low and accurately but word has it that the plumber was unable to drain any putts. 12.01.2022 A huge Thank You to Cam, Gina & Team for their sponsorship of yesterday’s 3 Ball Ambrose. 21 players took part in the season opener and it was pleasing to see s...o many new faces on course. Michael Emms, Jarred Lander, Matt Christie & Lane Lander combined beautifully to edge out some classy opposition. All players contributed at different times during their PAR round but it was the extraordinary Happy Gilmore long driving of Lane and Michael Emms that enabled them to make mince meat of their competitors. At the completion of play an unnamed competitor immediately lodged a formal complaint with Golf Australia over the Size 6 Cotton Drill shorts worn by Jarred during the round. It is understood that opposition players were finding it difficult to concentrate on the job at hand and thought his willingness to display his meat and tackle was not in the spirit of the game.
