21.01.2022 BlazeAid Kangaroo Island has new co-ordinators, Jules and Jo. We’d like to invite anyone who is interested in a challenge and would like to help the farmers on ...the island. After 9 months BlazeAid are so close to completing the farms devastated by the fires in January this year. We need more volunteers to complete the job. We are situated at the Parndana Sports and Showground. We have limited accommodation to offer but we do have plenty of room if you bring your own, including power if you need it. The crew here at the moment are wonderful ambassadors for BlazeAid but several of them need to leave soon, we’d love to grow our numbers again. Half the cost on the ferry to and from the island will be reimbursed if you work a minimum of 5 days. If you or someone you know is able to help please call Jo on 0417 614446. 20.01.2022 MINI VIRTUAL TOUR - Koala Mother and Joey I’m so excited to be able to share one of our gorgeous Joey Koalas with you, I’ve been heading out to our private ...heritage bush property a few times a week to be able to try and get some footage of these little cuties, often not the easiest due to foliage in the way, but I’ve found 4 new joeys on our property, so wonderful to see. It was very windy this day but Koalas are used to it, Rock a bye baby. More to come over the coming weeks. See more

08.01.2022 Hi Everyone, We strongly encourage you to book in advance if you wish to visit lunch and dinner venues on Kangaroo Island. Many businesses have limited seating due to COVID and customers will not be able to just walk in and get a meal without a booking.

We would love you to share in the bushfire recovery journey from 9am until 5pm daily, with last entry at 3pm. Park gates are locked at 5pm, please allow 25 minutes' travel time from Remarkable Rocks/Admirals Arch to the gate. On your visit, you can stop at the iconic tourist drawcards of Remarkable Rocks, Weirs Cove, Cape du Couedic lighthouse and Admirals Arch. You’ll have access to drive Cape du Couedic Road one of the most insta-famous roads in South Australia. Once at the sites you can browse around them on-foot. Remember to pack enough water and snacks for your visit, and to leave no trace. This will give our bushland the best chance of recovery. The park has limited toilets, there is no food or drink available for purchase throughout the park and alcohol is not permitted. Pets, including dogs, are not permitted in the park.
