20.01.2022 My dreams of a white Christmas have come true this year with out white feathered friends! Very few turkeys left but plenty of our last lot of chickens for a year - last time they will be sold fresh.... We have reared them, moved them day by day to fresh pasture kept them from the Quoll. We will collect them, transport them to Groenewolds facility and dispatch them gently ourselves with a willing team of helpers. We then package them and transport to you. Please take advantage of our coming before Christmas and buy however many whole chickens you can store in your fridge.

19.01.2022 Satiated! Feeling the love! A kind and hearty breakfast with warming company after the busy of delivery. Is it wrong to like our own bacon this much?? This bacon was the right amount of saltiness and smokiness for me and I usually like pretty salty. I really enjoyed every mouthful:) A certain rewarding return for caring for a happy pig I'd love to hear how you found your bacon!

13.01.2022 Can you pick a ham filled with nitrates? Some prefer it... Others (like me) avoid it. Not sure what I think of seeing our tenderly cared for forested dwellers cured pink, but we needed to see the difference. The Pink will congeal and have whilst moist, will differ in stiffness in texture. A tricky description. Nitrate free may taste low in salt to many, and it is buttery soft. It is dissolvable on the tongue. It won't be dressed pretty in pink, but be patchy at best. We hope whatever your choices, the delivered ham on your Christmas table this year, brings pleasurable memories for 2015!

12.01.2022 Above & Beyond Free-range - Fresh Forest Foraging Pork & Nitrat-Free Bacon & Hams for Christmas Collecting orders today and tomorrow for Hobart this Friday (Dec 2nd) to Mures Carpark, Kingston & Huonville (please click link in comments below to ordering page for all details). These are our last piggies for a while and the Gluten Free, plain Pork (no preservatives) are sooooooo worth the order and st...ocking up! and the bacon (from heritage Wessex Saddlebacks) do have that extra wide ribbon of fat, yet with it the highest flavoured bacon - without nitrates I've had so far. This season has made for a full flavoured, nutrient dense Forested Pork & Bacon. They have had prime choice of wild roots and foraged forested fodder. It is above & beyond free-range Pork and Bacon in its Prime. I haven't tasted it any better than this! Enjoy! 03.01.2022 Can you see where chicken field shelters have been? These photos depict the contrast between ground covered by chickens and where they have not been. In early years of regenerating the landscape, to see prolific regrowth in some areas 1 metre longer than where chickens have not roamed, it highlights the effectiveness chickens play in healing the land and rebuilding the soil with such a natural, animal friendly farming model!
