24.01.2022 The weather Gods were kind to RFC last night with just light showers we had no dewatering requirement this morning. 35m3 plus poured into ground beams in the wet season with no rework is good Management and Luck A1. The concrete is lazer and screeded to level to create an even base for the block work coursing so no block cutting. A block mortar bedding is 10mm thick so tolerance is kept within this 10mm on the screed in this heat! Brad closest in photo is the 4th year Apprentice and performing right on cue to make Tradesman for August.
23.01.2022 Cairns International Tennis Center - Court One has received an upgrade with Field Construct providing a new light membrane roof and playing surface. The main challenge was to place equipment weighing 130 tonnes without crushing the existing court pavement. RFC partnered with Keller Piling, Babinda Electrics, Tacoma Plumbing, Cairns Steel Fabrications, Fabritecture Australia, Ultimate Finishes Plexipave and HPS Stainless Steel. We are delighted with the quality of design work by Tensys Engineers. The Official Opening was well received and a lot of fun with the World Number One Ash Barty in attendance. Thank you to the Cairns Regional Council for assisting us with our obligations under the works.

03.01.2022 The esplanade dining precinct refurbishment has progressed with fast tracked timing to build gantries and main building elevation works while allowing public to access the food courts. Major street re-profiling and storm water drainage works in progress. The weather has been kind with the tropical heat and humidity building. Historically there can be 100mm of rain a day from Melbourne Cup onwards so it’s important we close the drainage works now.
