25.01.2022 Siblings Australia are looking for people who want to influence change and share ideas to contribute to Siblings Australia's projects and activities. See their post below: "As part of our exciting new ‘Stronger Siblings, Stronger Families’ project we are undertaking a range of new activities. We want to make sure we tailor sibling resources and services to the issues that affect you now! Therefore we are launching SibVoices, TeenSibVoices and ParentVoices three family advis...ory groups for adults, teens and parents. As an active participant of any of these groups, you will contribute to our work in meaningful ways. We will not be asking for a big commitment; your involvement will be on a voluntary basis, and you can leave the group at any stage. We will ask you to: *share your ideas *give feedback *influence change This might involve surveys, email feedback, or a zoom meeting with other sibs or parents from around Australia. We may also ask if you are interested in taking a leadership role with other sibs or parents in your local area. You may have particular skills to contribute but these are not necessary to be a part of the group, e.g: online and content development social media influence leadership training and education NDIS knowledge / experience advocacy If you are interested in joining our advisory groups, please register your interest by Tuesday 6 October 2020 by clicking the links below for either Adult Siblings, Teen Siblings or Parents of Siblings, fill out the contact form provided and we will be in touch with further information." https://siblingsaustralia.org.au/parentvoices/ https://siblingsaustralia.org.au/teensibvoices/ https://siblingsaustralia.org.au/sibvoices-eoi*

Live webinar will launch on the 1st September at 8.30pm AEST and registrations to join are open now Information that supports parents with how to work on their child's behaviour and life skills, but not a lot of support for parents wanting to learn to work on their own emotions - particularly not in the context of the challenges a parent faces when they have an autistic child.... At the PSC, we help parents learn tools and strategies to alleviate their stress and address child behaviour challenges and due to high demand, we have created a special webinar just for parents of Autistic (ASD) children. This free webinar aims to teach parents: An understanding of how stress, depression and anxiety play out in parents with autistic children. How to adopt a healthy mindset and emotional resilience that not only alleviates parental stress, but models this for your children. A 5 Step Process that you can use in ANY stressful situation, that will move you out of stress and into acceptance of the situation, with the ability to stay solution focussed. How to break down your massive 'to do list' into manageable tasks to avoid overwhelm. How to jump into the world of your child to understand their behaviour.
