21.01.2022 Yay! Feeling official!

20.01.2022 Hi y'all, So yes the pandemic is here. This next few weeks is critical to minimising the initial rate of infection which IS critical. I'm sure everyone here is already up to date on the basics (if not please do so). From a holistic perspective, turn the fear into fun. On top of a life hygiene spring clean (it's about time my car interior and door handles got some love and even surgeons need to remind themselves to not rush the hand scrub), taking the time to check in with... your post-summer stress and exhaustion levels to determine your risk factor and adjust accordingly is NOW (this is our societal prep test to change work culture and return to convalescence not being minimised by the pressure to work on and pop pills). Erring on the side of caution if you notice any mild symptoms (get up to speed on them if you haven't already) by minimising social contact while you are possibly shedding is a pretty basic rule for influenza season anyway. In Tassie our main issue will be the vulnerable seeing through the onslaught of winter. My few tips - Obviously garlic and ginger are cool things to be chugging but Elderberry is a clear win for pre-incubation decrease in viral loading. It is already starting to sell out as the wiser-than-toilet-paper crowd start prepping so get in there quick. It's also abundant as a foraging medicinal and you can drink it in champagne form if you can't stand Sambucol If you are in a high risk environment getting your F10 spray before the panic hits is also a good NOW tip. As far as toilet paper is concerned what a great time to consider growing Mullein a medicinal plant with super soft leaves that grows abundant in Tassie or get a subscription to the Who Gives A Crap bandwagon and never be worried again (they're currently out of stock in the US and AU). From a vet perspective - this is a zoonotic virus. The jury is and probably will be out for awhile as far as confirmation one way or another about whether our pets are at risk. Be pragmatic and minimise risk. Most importantly, take care of each other. Irrelevant of where and how COVID 19 happened there will be much more epidemiology crises to come as climate change and global ecosystem collapse continues. Much love

12.01.2022 Introduction to the Fifth Element Consultation Process After booking your initial consultation, we recommend you forward your regular vets details so we can obtain your pets medical and surgical history as well as any current medications, treatments and diagnostics e.g. blood work (we can do this after the first consult but it may delay the completion of a treatment plan). 11.01.2022 FEHVS is open and providing essential home consultations and treatments*. We are taking all necessary and additional precautions, as well as adapting to & staying up to date with local and global authorities recommendations on a daily basis. We know how hard this lockdown has been on everyones finances, but it is also the perfect opportunity while we are at home with our animals to be addressing their health issues. To help support our local community, we are honouring a ...10% concession discount for initial consultations during the lockdown period. *If you have been advised to isolate or are high risk we will discuss this with you beforehand to make special arrangements and take you through our additional precautions utilising PPE, however we are restricting our usage of these limited items to allow prioritisation of these items to frontline medical personnel. If you have any questions please dont hesitate to contact. Stay safe and be kind to yourself. xo Wei https://tasholisticvet.wordpress.com/2020//15/covid-update/
