25.01.2022 Hey everyone! So we asked you to watch this space for details of our IRONMAN participation this year and here it is! We’re doing things a bit differently this year with two events!... 1. Macquarie Ironman and 70.3 - 3rd May 2020: We will be putting a team together again this year, some from last year already committed and we welcome anyone who would like to join us, either as individual participants or in a relay team. Slight change from last year in that we’ve decided not to seek fundraising for this as we feel with the amount of fundraising being done for bushfires and other worthy causes at this time of the year that it’s not the right time to be seeking more donations. Instead, in accordance with the foundation’s mission we aim to raise awareness of Finn’s cause and of Duchenne generally - so we will bring our gazebos up to Port and making our presence felt! We encourage everyone to wear the FFF Tri suits! If you don’t have one get in contact and you can purchase one from us. 2 . Western Sydney IRONMAN 70.3 - 27th September 2020: As an alternative we have decided that we will go all in later in the year and get as many people as we can to register for Western Sydney 70.3 in September!! It’s obviously easier and less expensive for everyone to get to and gives us more time to spread the word, raise funds and get more teams together. Registrations for the event itself are open now and you have loads of time to get race ready so get involved no matter how fit you are right now! Please contact us if you are interested in participating and we will follow up with details of how to fundraise, become part of our wider team and join in the fun! Hope you are all as excited as we are, please let us know if you would like to join us for either event and we will make sure you are included in all communications from here on! With love FFFF

22.01.2022 Hi everyone, What a year! So much has happened, good and not so good. But we can all hold tight to the festive season, have some time out, celebrate, eat, drink and be merry. Let’s bring 2021 in with hope and happiness! Due to the events that unfolded throughout the year, we were left with a quiet break from Fight for Finn activities, but this has allowed us to come back bigger, stronger and better next year!...Continue reading

11.01.2022 This is why we do what we do. Fight for Finn Foundation is there to provide Finn and his family with necessary means to make his dreams come true and his life that little bit easier... keeping up with his peers isn’t a big ask for a little kid

10.01.2022 Dear Fight for Finn Fans, Not the post we want to be writing. On Monday, Finn was doing what he does best, motorbike riding. Unfortunately, he came off his bike and Ross and Bec’s worst fears were realised. A broken femur. This means so much more than the average person breaking their femur. Finn’s prolonged use of steroids means softer bones, longer recovery and worst-case scenario, affecting his mobility. ... The family has been thrown yet another curveball as they scramble to sort things out for Finn and make him as comfortable as possible for the next few months while he is off his feet. As per usual, Ross and Bec are apprehensive about this post as they don’t want to appear sympathy seeking, but the foundation feel, you as his biggest supporters need to be informed. In true Finn style he took it like a champion telling the doctors what to do and to sort his pain out. In no uncertain terms!!! He’s been in great form as always and he’s planning to prove those same doctors wrong by recovering in record time and coming out of it stronger, better and bolder than ever! With all your support and prayers we hope he’ll be back on his beloved KTM soon! Finn is currently en route home so he can recover with his home comforts. Unfortunately, COVID has ruined our plans for Ironman and other fund-raising activities this year but we will be back bigger than ever next year with some fun events so watch this space! Lots of love, Fight for Finn Foundation Check out the photos and the video of Finn post surgery! Hilarious. #SaveOurSonsDuchenneFoundation #Fightforfinn #duchenneawareness #fighter

10.01.2022 Hi everyone - a special announcement regarding a change to the Fight for Finn Foundation! After achieving so much since establishing and running the Foundation over the past few years, the current Committee Members have decided to step down to allow them to spend more time with their beautiful families. It is with a heavy heart but our very best wishes that we say farewell to Lou, Nat, Carla and Belinda. Although they are stepping down from active committee membership they h...ave very generously each offered to continue to help in whatever way they can. Words can never express the gratitude that Ross, Bec, Finn and their whole family have for the tireless efforts they have put in to make the foundation such a huge success, both in raising much needed funds and in increasing awareness about the horrible condition that Duchenne is. Their achievements are too great to be listed individually in this post and we can never thank them enough. Watch this space for future events (Port Macquarie Ironman 2020 we’re coming back so get training!) as the new Committee Members work to continue to build on the legacy that these wonderful ladies have established. 09.01.2022 The Fight For Finn Foundation would like to send a GIANT Thank You to Benedict Industries and all the kind staff at Benedict for your very generous donation towards Finn’s medical and disability related expenses! You are awesome Benedict Industries / Benedict Recycling

05.01.2022 Last minute Mother’s Day shopping with Maria from The Sydney Style List who is donating 20% of all sales to the Fight For Finn Foundation. Pop down and see Maria tomorrow at The Shop, Picnic Point from 9am

03.01.2022 Ironman Western Sydney 2021. A fairly reasonable and flat course. Let’s do it people. Please let me know if you’d like to be part of a team or do the half solo. We need to get our affairs in order so we can be prepared for the big day. We all know how fast 8 months goes.... Think you can’t? You can. This is now Finn’s reality... he can no longer walk in sand. Ross has to carry him to and from the water. As well as ensure he is next to him in the water. What was once his outlet is now proving difficult. It’s all the little things that add up to create the beast that Duchenne is. Again...if you think you can’t, you can! Join us to support Finn in 2021. It’s only a couple of hours of your life... and the after party will be epic Please submit the form below if you are going to register as a solo athlete or a team.! https://forms.gle/MYR4G7rN3xQPhvQ66
